Neville you could argue, had a good Super Rugby season and played excellent in the SF v Chiefs, and Arnold hasn't really offered anything, but I get your pointSure - but are any of those guys actually hard done by?
The bloke will battle to make western force 23 next season
Could be. Safe pair of hands.I think the backup 10 is likely to be Kellaway. Played there at school and seems like someone who could cover that position well. Read an article few months ago which said that Jorgensen could make the switch to 10 later on - maybe he plays there but tbh that sounds like a horrible idea for someone so young.
No he'll be their starting 10 most likely, he wouldn't be in a 23 at most other clubs but the Force have too little quality and depthThe bloke will battle to make western force 23 next season
Look it will go one way or the other
Eddie will look like a genius finishing Many wallaby careers or looks like an idiot and be finished post RWC
Mate Cooper would still be my starting 10I think the value of the "experience" and "mentoring" qualities associated with 30-somethings that have played >60 tests yet have barely participated in the winning of a meat tray is vastly overstated/overrated. What sort of mentoring or coaching is Cooper expected to provide Gordon exactly and when are people thinking he'll be providing it? Over dinner when they're all scrolling through instagram? When theyre in the gym and have the airpods in? Do people think Quade and Gordon will be sitting in a dark room after practice doing additional game film study and sharing 5/8 secrets? Is he expected to have some invaluable wisdom about how to get over the mental hump and perform with precision every time you step on the turf?
Surely you develop Pasitoa and move Donaldson to the 22 or put him at 15.No he'll be their starting 10 most likely, he wouldn't be in a 23 at most other clubs but the Force have too little quality and depth
you'd think so, or at least a pretty big chunk, hope his fitness is up to it but nethertheless brings a winning culture that nobody in this team other than Jorgensen from schoolboy rugby with Joeys hasDoes Skelton being captain infer that he’s penned in for 80 minutes?
Exactly no sense madeThe biggest issue I have with all of this is why Eddie just didn't give Donaldson game time against NZ and instead gave it to Cooper. It's so fkn random. Did a knock-on from a shit pass really cause Quade to be cut? If not why the fuck would u give him game time???
agree, don't know why Lonergan was with the squad for the TRC if he wasn't going to be there for the WCThe biggest issue I have with all of this is why Eddie just didn't give Donaldson game time against NZ and instead gave it to Cooper. Kellaway played a few games for Scots at 10 in 2013Carter mentioned in his interview with Morgs that a few guys outside of Donaldson can cover 10 - genuinely who?
winning culture from schoolboy footy? wotyou'd think so, or at least a pretty big chunk, hope his fitness is up to it but nethertheless brings a winning culture that nobody in this team other than Jorgensen from schoolboy rugby with Joeys has
At least he's been part of a winning team unlike everyone elsewinning culture from schoolboy footy? wot
This applies to a hell of a lot of players too. Why was Faessler not going to play (until Uelese went down), Gleeson never tried yet makes the squad, Pietech brought in over Vunivalu for no reason? The biggest issue I have with all of this is why Eddie just didn't give Donaldson game time against NZ and instead gave it to Cooper. Yeah because the older guys have really been putting on these other teamsMate Cooper would still be my starting 10
Give him time with Kerevi again
anyway we will see how we go compared to all blacks and SA
All blacks have something like 12 over 30 and average age 28
just hope the younger guys
And yes 15 under 5 caps don’t get made to look out of their depth
It's the kind of ruthlessness that Rennie wouldn't of had thoughThis applies to a hell of a lot of players too. Why was Faessler not going to play (until Uelese went down), Gleeson never tried yet makes the squad, Pietech brought in over Vunivalu for no reason?
Also you could be right about Quade being cut for the dropped ball, it seems Holloway was cut for the over the top delivery to Tate. Eddie being ruthless.
To be fair he's only had 4 test in charge so has to juggle building combos as well as giving guys chancesThis applies to a hell of a lot of players too. Ludicrous is thinking that players are rated on who selected them for their debut Test. One Player, Donaldson, didn't have a great season. He also made his test debut under Dave Rennie so I thought you'd like him
Time will tell if Eddie has got it right or wrong, but to assert that a maniacal competitor like him would not be trying to win the World Cup is ludicrous
