Wallabies 2023

As far as I can tell Uru will definitely eligible by late June, may even already be eligible. See:
Just furthering Reg's point, Uru has been eligible since the end of June 2020 (arrived in Melbourne around the last week of June 2017). This means he was eligible throughout the later half of 2020 and all of 2021. At worst he has a 6 month period at the start of this year where his eligibility lapses, but there are no wallabies tests in that period - the first of the year is scheduled for the 2nd of July.

It's also possible his eligibility is restored earlier - he was in Melbourne for ~3 months at the start of 2017 for a training camp before coming over permanently. Depending on how long he returned to Fiji for there is an argument that his qualifying period started then, rather than in June. That would only be relevant if there was a test to be played before the first England game though.

The beauty of being the coach is that Rennie can select who he wants. Uru has had a pretty good season but we aren't handing out participation awards. I don't think Rennie will avoid picking people just because they haven't been here all season.

If he thinks they're his best option he'll pick them.
Exactly... and we punters just waffle on with our expert analysis and player selections! .... all fun though. Rennie knows his stuff.

Solid backrow depth right now then.

6. Leota, Swinton (hopefully his arm comes good soon), Hanigan, Uru
7. Hooper, McReight, Gamble (soon)
8. Valetini, Wilson, Samu

That's three blokes you be relatively comfortable starting in a test match for each spot.

And some other blokes who would do a reasonable job should injuries demand it, like Harris, RWV, Anstee, Callan, ASY (Angus Scott-Young), Wright

And we don't even have to play any of them out of position.

I would add Wilkin to 7s list behind gamble as he also has had a bloody good season

Good little video about Eddie Jones and what England is up to by Squidge.

Nice to be reminded Eddie knows his shit, I think Australia might be in a bit of trouble this series. If we get 2 wins I'd be over the moon, I expect 1/3 win.

After this silly penalty in the last 5 metres of Blues, any discussion about Hanigan in a golden jersey is over

Elite sport is cruel. How many games does he has left to prove he deserves a call? 1 or 2 in the best case.

He was only ever getting selected based of the coaching teams opinion... Not on super form... If they seen something in him and want to see more he'll be there, I personally think he'll be in Aus A.. and may get picked for RC from there.

I am not saying he will get the call, I just do not belief that any player would be in or out because of one mistake. Unless it was an egregiously bad red, and the player has a history of cards.
