With how much footy Leota has missed, aus a could be good option of full 3 games
Holloway is having an outstanding year but I just cannot see where he fits in at either lock or in the back row. We have better specialist options in both with excellent cover for the bench.
Looks pretty good option for the bench either way, gives the team a bit more flexibility... it could allow the team to carry a specialist 7 on the bench like McReight/Gamble and still have 3 backs.Who? At the moment it's hard to argue he isn't the form Australian lock.
Are Rodda, Phillip, Swain etc. so entrenched that Holloway can't be picked ahead of one of them?
At this stage he has to be viewed as a specialist lock. It's where he's played all season and he's got better and better as the season has wore on. Some versatility may help his cause but I don't think it's what will get him selected in the first place.
Fuck me, just read the story behind the team name, what a time to be alive.

Nah think he's in LA for a holiday resting up before winning the Bledisloe and went to drop by their training. Is he actually signed up?

Hanigan sucksHolloway playing in the backrow historically disappears - his involvements were never enough, when he was moved to lock he started playing tighter and getting more/better involvements
I can't see him in the backrow at test level, we have better, higher workrate options
Now as a test lock, he just isn't big enough, because his good field work at test level is expected, but a good test lock is just bigger and more effective
I rate him as a good super rugby standard lock, but we have better, more effective options at test level.
His only spot in a test team IMHO is a 5/6 bench option, and then he is competing against the Leota, Hanigan options etc
Why?Hanigan sucks
He is just mediocre sucks is probably a bit harsh. Don’t see him having one stand out qualityWhy?
Has played at Wallaby level. Do you play at that level if you are mediocre? He is just mediocre sucks is probably a bit harsh. Don’t see him having one stand out quality
He has played at Wallabies level sure, in weak Wallabies sides. Never put in a performance that made you say he belongs at the levelHas played at Wallaby level. Do you play at that level if you are mediocre?
