Rennie not happy
I watched thru Kayo and had the Welsh commentary and let me tell you they were Phil Kearns multiplied by 3!One thing I struggled to understand was how Drew Mitchell managed to call Lachie Swinton “Liam” at least three times.
As frustrated as he was, Dave shat the bed there.Rennie not happy
Watched on Dazn in NA and they were atrocious.I watched thru Kayo and had the Welsh commentary and let me tell you they were Phil Kearns multiplied by 3!
Agree. The replacement after 20 minutes for a red is a no brainer….the offender doesn’t come back, but the game is not totally lopsided. Also interesting that World Rugby has taken up some of the rule changes trialed down here but not the 20 minute red card. Change is hard for the home unions.
We got to be more consistent as got momentum after beating South Africa but let a lot of that get lost after this tour. Anyhow I think we learnt we are not a top 3 side at this point.Maybe in previous years, I don’t think we’ve said it as much this year.
Yes, if it was mid season then the blow up might put pressure on the officials in the remainder of the year. No one will remember it next year.As frustrated as he was, Dave shat the bed there.
Not doing himself any favours. Will probably cop a fine.
Thing is, if Beale had tackled the Welshman instead of pleading, hands up, to the ref, we wouldn't have conceded that 2nd half try.
Effort was there for us but still mixed in with too much dumb...
A lot of personnel changes from those South African victories, I can see how momentum was lost.We got to be more consistent as got momentum after beating South Africa but let a lot of that get lost after this tour. Anyhow I think we learnt we are not a top 3 side at this point.
It was fair. They could have gone yellow but direct contact to the head and no mitigating circumstances. The laws say red. Its absolutely on Valetini. He was always too high in the tackle.Red card a joke.
Sometime during the week as we got done for it last weekendThat Welsh line out before Rob's, Red Card, the Welsh Hooker has the ball behind his head ready to throw. He then proceeds to baulk the ball several times.
When did that become legal?
The episode shows an interesting difference between refereeing in the North compared to the South. My understanding is a knock down is okay provided :
1. The ball travels backward
2. The defender attempted to grab the ball carrier prior to knocking the ball down.
I'm not sure the second point happened in this instance, which would rule no try.
Ok so let’s look at that and who would have made a difference. Kerevi yes.A lot of personnel changes from those South African victories, I can see how momentum was lost.
So what?Im 25% scot.
