Creighton on the bench for the Reds again this weekend. Seemingly preferred now? And with JOC (James O'Connor) back soon hopefully, maybe there will be room for the Reds to release HMP. I hope they do.

In the pre Drua Rebels Injury update, they confirmed that Talataiana has injured his ACL in the back quarter of 2023, completed his 6 month recovery, and strongly implied he return from injury through the JRWC.

Not sure in a 26 man squad you can carry a bloke with zero gametime, even of his quality, but we will see.
I think he's worth it but I get it if they didn't take the chance with a smaller squad.

Can you take a couple of guys extra in case of the inevitable injury? Save flying them to SA and potentially missing a game.

As this is a development tournament, it will be only be broadcast in the countries of the teams playing.

Makes sense. No Pacific Nations that would incentivise an IRB broadcast, no Japanese involvement, poor broadcasting times for any European network.

For those in the know, is full strength? Sounds like there’s a few injured players who should be there, ie Hooper, that young Rebels backrower, and that NSW ex Barker hooker. Who are the guns we should be looking out for?

Looks like the full strength team to me, hard to say how they view squad rotation and development. I'd be interested to see Goldsborough and Fakafanua but they're both a year young.

Players to watch IMO:
1. Barrett - should be a leader from the front in his second year, was one of the standouts last year.
4. MacPherson - workhorse last year. Like Barrett, it's good to see some large tight 5 boys returning.
6. Ekanayake - great skills and speed from sevens, dangerous in open play.
10. Fowler - Rebels contracted, interesting to see his development.
12. Leahy - very handy in space, the move to 12 is surprising.
