Crusaders making heavy weather of this, 7-7 after 30.

14-7 after 37 is a bit more like it but something needs to change at HT.

Yep I suspect someone needs to teach Crusaders how to hold onto the odd pass. What the hell is happening down that way

What's happening down that way is it's not duck shooting season yet so the munters up front are letting the fairies out back do their thing for the time being, knowing full well that cometh May (if the comp hasn't been canned by then) said fairies will be begging said munters to please please please win the damn thing so they (fairies) don't have to get their hands & knees dirtier than absolutely necessary.

EDIT: in saying that, there does seem to be more accuracy in this half. Or maybe it's the Sunwolves patented second-half fade plus the absence of Te'o starting to kick in.

Yeah, the fade is happening big time, 35-14 into the final quarter. In case anyone's wondering, Sione & David Havili aren't related.

Hugh Roach's CruSadists debut ends with a dumb-arse Red. Doesn't matter how hard, it's still an elbow to the head you dumbfuck. Hope you enjoyed your two-week CruSadist career.

lol this match seemed quite close, then cantabs were down to 13 men, then somehow they wind up with 49 pts at the end. suspect some sort of scoreboard manipulation involved somewhere in there.

Unnamed Ex-Auckland Blues Assistant Accepts Sanzar Edict Stipulating That Cantabs Forfeit Super Rugby.

-NZ Herald--

"Yes, look, I have been in touch with Commissioner Egon and have reassured him that he may remain SANZAR Commissioner if he agrees that the Cantabs forfeit the Super Rugby title due to them only having played 6 matches as opposed to the champion-elect Auckland Blues, who have played the correct allotment of 7 competition matches. Look, we're not here to argue with the SANZAR Commissioner. Rules are rules and they're in place for a reason. What he says goes and it's up to us to abide by and comply with competition rules and regulations. Or else it's just anarchy, isn't it? So in the end, we're just happy to accept SANZAR's ruling whichever way they decide."

A screengrab clearly showing the Canterbury Crusaders to have played an ineligible number of Super Rugby matches;

"Furthermore, we have already detailed how the Super Rugby standings actually finished here, here, here and here; http://www.greenandgoldrugby.com/co...nfinity-and-beyond.13827/page-36#post-1127339. Thank you, no further questions."

Objection, your Honour!

Defence calls Witness X in rebuttal of Honoured Friend DP's crazed assertions & aspersions:

You have problem with points table? You can discuss with my little friend at right of pic & gesturing expansively in my direction as I prepare to stomp you into paste while you are distracted. DISCUSSION OVER, MOFO (with respect).

Well well well.
Blues put Nock at 9 and ditch handbrake Ruru (which Blues fans have been calling for forever) and look what happens - they smash the only previously remaining undefeated team in the comp at their fortress.

Whether Newlands gets to see rugby action again in light of the Covid-19 pandemic which has brought all sport to a shuddering halt, remains to be seen.
If not, the last home match the Stormers ever played will be their 33-14 loss at the hands of the Blues on Saturday, 29 February, 2020
Yes, you read that correctly. The Blues win was such an enormous shock to the entire Stormers franchise that they decided they had to destroy the entire 130-year old stadium and leave town.
A bit of an overreaction if I must say, but, UNDERSTANDABLE.

Wait until the Blues next win in Christchurch. So great will the shame be that the Cantabs will have to demolish Christchurch and pretend they're all from Gore, or something.

Now I'm wondering what the last soup match at Lancaster Park was? Perhaps the Blues placed their patented Kiss of Franchise Death upon the Cantabs junk and relegated that storied bastion of red and black rugby history to rubble too? #WITH_A_TOUCH_OF_THEIR_DARK_HAND

*edit bugger quick google reveals last soup match was a 40-22 touch-up of the Bumbreeze in May 2010
*edit bugger quick google reveals last match ever was a 20-10 touch-up by AB's vs Wobs in Aug 2010

Well enjoyed watching the Quinn's.Sale game from England this morning, Not a bad game, a little scrappy at time, as to be expected after lockdown etc, and good to see the refs up there working on breakdowns same as down here.
Had a bit of a chuckle when the camera showed the English coaching staff in stands, and the commentator wondered if Eddie was finding the mask annoying as he does enjoy having something to say.

You did? Taking into account it was their first game back it still was very average in my opinion.
