Need the full warts-and-all Akira Report.

Just on this one - Akira had a very pleasing performance. He has definitely dropped weight, looked typically good ball in hand (powered over for a try), would have scored another try if Telea had passed the ball and not hogged the ball like a typical winger.

Defensively was where he really stood out - Fox Sports have him down for making 15 tackles - he made a lot of covering tackles on the inside and put his strength to good use in defense.

Hopefully he can keep it up.

I agree KiwiM, as a real critic of Akira's, I thought Saturday was one of best games I have seen him play for quite some time. He seemed to realise he needs to work off the ball, and we all hope he keeps it up.

The Blues are playing the Lions before the Crusaders play consume the souls of the Sunwolves. They really should (should) (SHOULD) beat the Lions, so have the team on DEFCON 1 standing for about 6:20 pm NZT.

I can see a potential flaw in your timeline: I've gone Loss Bleus in my tipping comp & I'm almost certain they've the NZ team I have the least success with i.e. they win when I tip them to lose (Hurricanes just this past week) & lose when I tip them to win. So I'll offer my apologies in advance.

Clan haven't named their team yet but ASmith & Coltman won't be in it, they've flown home from SA for their NZR-mandated rest week. Pretty bad timing with their season just about on life support.

Actually think it good timing, they not going to match Jaguares, so rest them now and have them playing home games.

Have to say the Chiefs maybe a touch good, even with a few still out.
Have to say I don't get excited over van Wyk, think he may chase shadows.

The Clan playing in an empty stadium, as I expect all games will be within a couple of weeks. I woudn't be surprised if this the last games we will be able to go to for quite some time.

George Smith (75)
^ I reckon they're just waiting for a player to test positive so they can pull the plug on it without getting sued by broadcasters, venue owners, sponsors, bookies, or a combination thereof. Will be interesting to see how many turn up to the games that aren't closed-door, esp with that punter at the Rebs game last week having come down with the virus.

John Thornett (49)
Well I, for one, was planning to go see the Blues smite the Hurricanes for the second time this season.

In an ideal world the stadium will be open, but most people will be too scared to go, meaning it''d be virtually empty. Then I can relay my verbal abuse at those yellow dandies from the comforts of the West Stand, rather than having to sully myself by descending to the lower levels.

Tribe concede first points again.

Holy shit, Atu Moli out there 10min in & doesn't look like Geldenhuys is injured. Rather odd, that.

George Smith (75)
Horrorcanes need to be careful here: three penalties in three minutes & Jaco with the whistle isn't a good recipe.

Edit: Tribe may have scored under penalty advantage so penalty clock may get reset, that seems to be Jaco's MO. Onfield decision try, replay looks OK so Tribe go ahead. Boshier gets the meat pie, Cruden the extras, 10-7.

Canes had the energy. Although at the death for Chiffs to defend 35 phases for zero yards gain and then that dipshit #8 with the laziest late hit in rugby history to undo allllll the work has to hurt

wft is shrieking cock warbler TJ going on about Super Rugby schedule being "unrelenting" and "next weeks game" etc. Is he even aware of what is going on on planet earth? Wake up doofus, Super Rugby schedule is about to "relent" for a VERY, VERY FUCKING LONG TIME MATE

^ yeah but he's not allowed to say that, is he. No more than you're allowed to say "buy this mansion NOW before we let Gunston Renovations loose on it tomorrow & they reduce it to rubble".

ha, I suppose he isnt. if I was calling the match its all I7d talk about.

"That ruck is a big slobbering mess of a petris dish. Wow, I think I can feel my hazmat heating up all the way up here."

"May as well go hard fellas, we'll all be dead by Xmas."

"Wow, what a great match that was, time for the post-match hand shakes. Talk about a death wish."

David Wilson (68)
By geez that was a game and a half wasn't it. I can watch rugby like that any old time, I bet there are 2 teams that won't be very keen on doing much tomorrow, they just run themselves to a standstill. I didn't think the Canes had it in them, but theer you go.

Chiefs I was real impressed with DMac, Boshier (again) Cane (That bastard has big engine) and Cruden.
Canes Kirifi, Lumpy, Jordie ,Lam were all good , but though Evans was close to MOTM.

My dedicated team of screenshotters, just waiting for the brief, fleeting moment, should it ever, ever possibly arise, that the Blues creep above the Cantabs on the ladder.

These, my volunteer staffers, have been on 24 hour round-the-clock standby every minute of every day since 2004.

Events at FMG last night mean it's now possible for Loss Bleus to not just overtake the Cantabs+6 other Unions, but sit atop the NZ Conference!
