Obviously the result doesn’t matter as this is just a development team but the performance was poor.
The scrum was pretty much the only positive other than fullback Hansen. Although we were probably lucky to get away with the scrum many times as I didn’t see a lot of hooking.
Our defensive alignment was poor and one on one tackling lacking. Our attacking structures in the backline were basically lacking and our big forwards make bugger all impact rarely bending the line or looking for offloads.
Our breakdown work was ill disciplined and our handling was nye on diabolical.
Bad loss to a very good Welsh team.
26=21
Didn't see much of the first half, what I did see Wales were in control.
Except for scrums.

Not sure about this. At what point does the result start to matter, if at all?Obviously the result doesn’t matter as this is just a development team

Sure, losses need to be taken on the chin. That's the basis of the game. But this result, lined up with the others over the last 5–6 years, is telling you that the "development" is wrong.
I reckon the U20 world champs is the leaving certificate exam. When the homework hasn't been done … well, maybe you're right; the results don't matter.
The real development happens over the decade leading in. Not much is going to change with two weeks in France. We know this.
Maybe it's time to save that tournament money and put it into actual development.
Because the results don't matter.
Amidst the gloom - this was a fair old try
@WorldRugby: Incredible kick. Incredible athleticism. Incredible try. You won't see many better than that. Great try for @qantaswallabies at the #WorldRugbyU20s

And Sean Moloney has to be the worst commentator of all - the call throughout the game was amateurish and embarrassing, and he can’t even pronounce a player’s name properly - FFS, the #10 is Kuenzle, which is pronounced ‘Koonzel’, and not Kwenzie!!! Moloney’s a moron and Fox Sports should get someone sensible in there as a replacement.
I think there's an element of sarcasm to this in relation to various players (Stewart, Hockings, Petaia, Valetini) being kept back from the tournament to play Super Rugby.
RA is treating it like the results don't matter but I think most fans feel pretty differently.
It sounded like he had lost his voice and was struggling to talk.
