HT. 17-7. To Aus

Some great play in the first 20. Great skills and great scrum.

Argentina got a freak try against run of play. Still not sure quite what happened,

Argentina improved as the game went on.

Plenty of niggle.

Full-time 41-15 Aus

Couple of late trys blew it out.

Pretty solid effort against a tough opposition.

Japan who had a good side and went close to beating Wales. Will be relegated to the trophy after losing 11/12 playoff to Ireland 39-33.

If we're 5th and NZ 4th does that mean we'll be in the same pool again?
No,

If I understand it correctly, we will be in a pool with England, Italy and Ireland.

New Zealand and South Africa will be together with Georgia and Scotland.

France, Argentina, Wales and who ever comes up from the Trophy.

I kind of feel that France would have been the best to be in a pool with. Historically they seem least likely to be good next time around (and not at home).

Fair point. But that pool will have the home nation in it next year.

But in order to get in that pool we would have had to have thrown the game last night.

There is one very hard pool, and we are not in it.

Yes, certainly good we avoided NZ and South Africa.

Argentina host next year. I think notionally that pool will be the easiest.
