i think tonights battle up front will be very interesting. the rebels pack last weekend really gave it to the canes including their AB front row. i suspect the reds front 3 might struggle a bit. though the edge goes to the reds in the back 5 perhaps

as far as i know reb radio is broadcasting from ballymore

Let's just wait and see shall we. For all this perceived talk of the Reds weakness being the forward pack, I haven't seen them get beaten by too many over the last four years.

i totally agree that scrummaging is clearly an eight man effort and i didnt suggest that the rebels will dominate the reds pack, but i was really responding to the earlier posts from reds fans about the relative strengths of holmes, daley, slipper and anae as LHP/THP's. the rebels now have a couple of very good props that gave ben franks, dane coles and john swalger a very hard time last week.
we will see tonight of course and i am happy to eat humble pie if our scrum is poor

Keen to go to match tonight, but haven't been to ballymore for yonks. Was planing to drive in, but now realize that there is parking restrictions all around the stadium. Just wanting to know where the best parking for the game will be or if the best option would be the shuttle bus from Roma street?

I usually park in one of the streets on the other side of Enoggera Creek or near Downey Park. There's a reasonably wide footbridge and it's about a ten minute walk to the stadium.

yep fish is right, that's the safest bet.

Depending on our early you go though, you can park for free inside the grounds.

My concern for the Reds is Holmes at THP. From his previous games there, he's not the strongest scrummager on that side. For example, vs the Lions Owen was much more steady than Holmes - the front row of Anae, Hanson, Owen looked much more stable than Daley, Hanson, Holmes. Thought that Daley looked OK at scrumtime in the brief highlights of the trial last week, and hope he can regain the LHP with Slipper at THP.

Those "reduce facilities" at the Classic ANZAC match were a major buzzkill. Hopefully there's more than one bar and toilet open at each stadium tonight than last time!

That was my view of it as well. And they were up against a pretty fair Lions front row. Surprised that combination, or at least Jono Owen, hasn't got a bit more of a run.

Don't count on it. Although The Bundy Bar is open though (we had it open at the GF day and no one drank there. Would've been the easiest way to get countless drinks). So those toilets near there should be opened. That would be my tip to head there pre-game.

The threat of bad weather must be keeping people away.

I bought 2 tickets in the Eastern stand this morning, then 2 hours later I had to buy another one for my son's friend. They are only 5 seats apart.

Maybe GA tickets are selling like hot-cakes !
