Ah yes, TPN that titan of test rugby. So much so that he's managed to start only 4 tests in his entire career. Is there a more over-rated player in test rugby?

Is that the only 4 matches of rugby you've watched when switching over from the league tv break... TPN is immense in his own right let alone in a team.... please run into a pole for your own sake...

Despite some very good Soup Rugby form over the years, the simple fact is TPN's largely unproven in tests. He's played 25 minutes of test rugby in the last 2 seasons and has never been a consistent standout player at that level, which is why he's been a perennial bench warmer. Check the stats - he's started only 4 of his 25 tests over the last 7 seasons of test rugby.

He's unproven as a starter and a complete sicknote, yet he gets mentioned time and time again as a key Wallaby, which is I made the over-rated call. Name another who is so highly rated based on such a thin test resume.

Phil Waugh was an absolute meathead but still wrangled the starting test jersey off GSmith during their playing period, as was Whittaker on bench for GGregan, & Owen Finegan for Kefu even Barnes hasn't started too many tests but all key players nonetheless... I hope you weren't shattered as president of the Giteau Fan Club when he wasn't selected....

Yeah.....that was pretty good. Probably a bit freakish really though.....I just think Dagg's got the pace and elusiveness we need at fullback.

If Mils was an inside back he'd probably be OK but fullback, I think we need more than what he's consistently got now...

I'd have Dagg on the wing, cause lets face it, Guildford was horrible.

I must admit to some surprise at seeing TPN on Rugby Heaven's poll for "Best Hooker of the World Cup Era" but not Squeaky. 25 tests and 4 starts versus 60 tests and 46 starts, not to mention that (rightly or not, injuries or not) Moore has almost always been preferred over TPN.

Totally poor form from SMH...

Moore has been the starting Wallaby hooker now since 2007, and during that time has been one of the premier hookers in the world... yet he doesn't even get acknowledged.

Is that what I said? I'm pretty sure it's not. Maybe go back and have a look.

Never said that's what you said, maybe go back and have another look.
But you were criticizing a response to a sentence that said as much, yet you took issue with the response and not the initial statement.

Kearns in terms of the Wallabies but on a world scale you have some great choices like Smit, Fitzpatrick and Keith Wood to name a few.

I rate him as the best hooker in the world currently (maybe on-par with Bismark du Plessis), he has been brilliant on a consistent basis.

Did the Wobs "smash" the AB forward pack? I think not. I recall the Wobs holding steady for the first half then getting spun like a dinner plate on a magicians stick several times in the second.

The Wobs did, however, finally throw some mongrel at the breakdown, in numbers.

I'm also a bit cagey about you saying the Darkness need to get some confidence back. All that really happened was that the Wobs manned up for the first time in years, and the AB's got put on the back foot, which they are not really used to from the Men in Gold.

I agree with both 'Enry and Deans; this will not get either team to the RWC golden pot. What it does for the Darkness is get them refocused, and the Wobs get some much needed confidence.

RWC on.
