And that is precisely what I would want to see from my test No 7 BH, but it goes without saying that Hooper must be playing the style of game Cheika wants. My criticism is not of Hooper per se, but of Cheika and his at times unfathomable game strategies.
I agree we need to contest the breakdown more but I think in a game where the opposition is winning the contact zone, if you start throwing numbers at the breakdown your defence starts leaking like a sieve.
I want to see what our tactics look like when our forwards are closer to parity. Hopefully it happens tomorrow night.
