During the live call on GaGR on Sunday morning the scrummaging woes of the Australian side prompted discussion of our ability in the scrum compared to other nations. What I thought would be an interesting debate is as of right now (basically a year out from the World Cup) can you rank the Top 10 scrummaging nations.
Then we will contrast this to the current IRB rankings which are as follows:
1. New Zealand
2. Australia
3. South Africa
4. England
5. France
6. Scotland
7. Ireland
8. Argentina
9. Wales
10. Fiji
(11. Samoa, 12. Italy)
What is your top 10 at this time because it should be noted that the number 12 side in the world outmuscled the number 2 side in the world in a critical set piece.
