I was surprised by the low turnout, rain notwithstanding. Was everyone home watching the gayfl grand final replay or didn't they know it was on? I have been to a couple of gf's at Concorde, 2 in the mid-90s and one in 2000 and they were all sold out games, 2 of them absolute crackers (the 2000 one and 1994).
Crowd was 5410
I actually didn;t think it was that bad. Obviously more would've been better but maybe I've just seen too many Pirates games where there's about 1000 in the crowd
And RF, Uni fail epically at promoting themselves on campus. Current students don't even get a discounted ticket price and there's one poster in the cafe at the gym where 1st grade train.

Finals are the property of NSW Rugby, so student card and even club membership are no good for those games. Nothing Uni can do about that.Maybe it was just the finals then, or the surly security guard. Lucky I had a media pass; they'll give them to anyone these days.
I still think Uni don't promote themselves to the actual students nearly as well as they could.
