Seeing as we're chatting about pretty irrelevant shit anyway, can someone help me settle a debate as to which player/position would make the best team of one player? As in a XV of all Hoopers (my suggestion). I think it'd have to be a quick flanker who could pack down in the row as well. Or maybe a XV of Dane Coles.

I am a former lock, but that did not sway me at all. He could do anything on the field, no reason at all that three of him could not form a pretty hand front row.

Simmons game or 2 at 6 for the reds were actually quite impressive (compared to his normal games) His mobility stood out a bit more when he wasnt bogged down doing a terrible job at being a bouldershifter.

I do actually think Simmons best position was 6. Still should be nowhere near the Wallabies Squad but I have hope Tui could be an option at 6.

I saw that poll as well. The NRL mutter about him going back every year but nothing is going to happen till after the World Cup.

NRL has plenty of specialist wingers and very good ones at that.

Israel would no longer be the stand out and therefor wouldn;t command the money he once did.

He has found a comfortable home in rugby, one where he receives much much more money than he ever would have in league.

One has to question whether he is now worth the ridiculous money he is on (in our sport)

When he was originally signed and taking into account the state of rugby he was in, he WAS worth the dollars.

I disagree, I think he'd more likely play in the centers or at fullback, but he wouldn't be as dominant on the wing as he was when he was. But that's because he's got a more diverse skill set, the thing with a winger in the NRL is you have one job, put the ball down in the corner no matter what. Izzy can do a lot more than that.

I actually wouldn't mind him going back to NRL if the Titans want him, he's a really good player but I think he isn't without his flaws.

If he were to move to a New Zealand Super Rugby team it wouldn't be the worst possible outcome, preferably he remains in Australia playing Super Rugby, but if not a kiwi Super Rugby team is the next best option.. Depends how much he is willing to sacrifice financially.

Auckland Warriors might be in with a better shot then the NZ Super Rugby teams.
