Lots of options.

Option 1 is obviously Kuridrani at 13, Folau at 15.

If you dropped Kuridrani and moved Folau to 13 you could play Beale at 15 and To'omua at 12. Assuming though that Beale gets picked at 12, DHP and Hunt would both be pretty reasonable options at 15.

I tend to think Folau will play 15 and Kuridrani 13. With Beale at 12 Cheika will probably think Kuridrani can turn his form around.

I know Kerevi is deceptively quick for his bulk, but I'd wager that Folau has a higher top end speed and a smoother running style (although that Kerevi is harder to tackle). Neither of them have much acceleration at all.

I don't think picking a 13 on top end speed is something you'd want to bother with. How often is a 13 in a position to running at top end speed? Realistically speaking, you'd want a 13 who's explosive in the first 10-20 metres. Generally speaking, the 13 won't be in open play so you can forgo that speed for more power/force.

I just look back at Umaga, Mortlock and even Nonu. Three of the greatest 13's to play in the last 10-15 years. All three massive guys who weren't in their own right the fastest players on the paddock, but they had the explosive power you want.

Yeah, I very much doubt Cheika is going to drop his incumbents from last year, so Kuridrani will be given a chance to carry on with his test form and Folau will remain at fullback..........

I would've originally pegged To'omua to reclaim the 12 jersey but Beale's form is too good to refuse, and let's not get into how To'omua or Lilo have played in the past fortnight............

It just means we'll have to blood somebody on the wing as we're a bit short on outside backs.

I dreamed this backline:

9 Phipps
10 Foley
11 Horne
12 Beale
13 Folau
14 Kerevi
15 DHP

Very risky, isn't it?

An embarrassment of talent it seems, Kerevi on the wing is the dumbest thing i've ever heard though. I'd rather Pek Cowan there

Remember Cheika likes his incumbents.

Right now I think

9.
10. Foley - has really looked all class lately
11. Horne I guess, for his solid all round game
12. Beale - Gits is the incumbent and won't be picked
13. Kuridrani, the incumbent
14. DHP
15. Folau, might move to 13 with 20 to go

21. Frisby
22. Kerevi if fit, otherwise To'omua
23. Hunt I guess, with Tomane and Speight out

I was just rearranging someone else's.

My team would be:

15 Izzy
14 DHP
13 Kuridrani
12 Beale
11 Horne
10 Foley
9 Phipps

8 Pocock
7 Hooper
6 Fardy
5 Carter
4 Simmons
3 Holmes
2 Moore
1 Slipper

16 TPN
17 Sio
18 Smith
19 Skelton
20 Holloway
21 Frisby
22 To'omua
23 Kerevi

Locks are my biggest question mark.

Not Carter. Please. Did you see his last game? He is a poor ball runner, so so defender, gets knocked off cleanouts, and gives away silly penalties (though less so this year).

Coleman is similar in lineouts and scrums, but pulls off big defence, has some speed and agility, is a much stronger ball runner, is a much better athlete, and doesn't give away unnecessary penalties. I would have Career behind Simmons, Coleman, Neville, Skelton, Arnold, Jones, Timani at least.

Skelton did have his best game of the year against the Stormers.
Wait and see how he goes in the next few games. He did have substantial surgery at the end of last year.

yep. That's my hope. I thought he was very good v the Stormers and, in form, he's a real point of difference for the team.

I had hopes for Carderyn Neville but his benching won't have helped his cause.

Blake Enever too, but his injury has impacted his opportunities.

Carter, Simmons and Coleman are all a little too same same.

Mumm is no chance.

Arnold....perhaps....but I'd probably go Jones or Timani before him.
