Latu and Ready's future looks Bright. Well it did last year, not so much this year. But hopefully start improving again next year.

Can we please get rid of Moore already.

Latu and Ready sound like they both need to get a dose of self-control with regards to being professional footy players, if you believe all the scuttlebutt being bandied around about them. Both with plenty of upside, you'd think, if they can get and keep the focus.

Agree with your starting backrow Brown Hornett - but I'd like them to have a bigger backrower on the bench, unless they go with a 6/2 split, which I think is a bit fraught with danger at present as a few of our backs are a bit injury prone.

I would say that you start with
6. Higgers
7. Hooper
8. Timani

and have Fardy on the bench.

RHP can be Fardys understudy and get some game time after the Bled tests. If he is ready put him on the bench in the second Bled.

I believe the biggest issue in Australian rugby right now is the coaching. We do have the cattle to put out very competitive sides but the coaches must prepare the players physically, mentally and tactically as well as hold them to task if they do not meet the required standard.
Right now mediocrity has become the norm for our Super Rugby sides and Cheika is presented with unfit and unmotivated players. He also needs to hold high standards and keep his support staff performing at or above them.

That means Nathan Grey should not be a part of the setup right now based on his performance in June and in the last Super Rugby season.
How can Nathan Grey be conducting the review of his own inadequate performance with the Tahs? That is just wrong. So is his appointment in the top defensive job in the country based on his less than mediocre performance of late.

The long term coaching targets are being addressed by appointing Kafer but the National side and our provincial sides should be addressing more immediate goals, like this years RC and Bled and the 2018 Super season.

It will be interesting to see how Kafer goes in the new role.

I think it's fantastic that he's stepped out of the commentary box to make a difference, but saying the right things into a microphone and working with embedded mediocrity are two entirely different things.

I truly hope he doesn't end up jaded by the experience, or gets lulled by whatever miasma plagues the ARU.

Both of our RWC winning sides had first class set pieces for mine.
I do recall some complaints about some members of the tight five in the 1999 squad but not the 91 team. So Youre right about that.
I guess we must have been ok in 2003 cos Andre Watson gave us a scrum penalty (thinking flatley couldn't kick it, as I saw it) to send the final into extra time.
I can't remember what the scrum packing sequence was for those 3 world cups - I suspect 1991 was a free for all.
Have we had a decent scrum on a regular basis since 2003?

I think we all know that Fardy is highly unlikely to be selected for the squad, let alone a Bled

Jordy ahead of Ready? Wowee.

McMahon the only departing player still on there.

Can't complain about the Rebels allocation, particularly if Toby's informed management that he's going home, and that's the basis of his non-selection.

Uelese will quickly overtake most of those who are currently rated above him, imo including the likes of Ready, Latu (if he continues to have fitness issues) and Moore, perhaps after this year.

Beale or Hodge back up 10s?

Still feel RHP > Hanigan.

Why on Earth is Nabuli still there?

Yeah, Nabuli is just not good enough..........

And we have Folau, DHP, Speight, Naivalu, Korobeite, Banks (who I hope gets added), and Perese......... so hopefully Nabuli will be cut when the squad is reduced.

cannot comprehend leaving either Quade or Higginbotham out. in a time of players of poor skills, arguably two of the most skilful players are not considered. WTF has Magnay done to be selected.
