Why doesn't Greg Growden have to apologise then ? What he's written is worse.

That's a bloody good point Naza. Whatever Div's oddities, GG has appalled me going on and on and on about Div, in a kind of cheap and patronising manner attempting to extract pleasure and reader engagement from just mocking and degrading someone in mass print. And surely, once is enough. No, not for our Greg. He has to write at least 4 columns a week - what a huge workload!

Then contrast that to the sickly sycophantic easy ride - with just a few soft and mild criticisms - he's given various ARU parties and (unnamed) coaches. There's been just as much to legitimately criticise in Aus rugby as there is in Div's mad outbursts and silly clangers.

What utter hypocrisy. I'd need a good lawyer if ever I sat next to the bloke.

What act/s harms the game more:

1. Head butt by Botha
2. Spear tackle by Cooper/Fourie
3. Attacking the face (close to the eyes) by Burger
4. Implying the game is rigged by PdV

I'd suggest that 3 and 4 are on equal standing as the worst of this bunch, and that both will get away with it.

It is complete bullshit that Burger wasn't cited for what he did, but Cooper and Fourie have to miss games for what they did.

The problem is that they pay way to much attention to the final result in a lot of cases. Pocock had the balls to just get on with the job. It is a joke. If he had of cried like a bitch, it all would of ended different.

Got to love the comedic interlude from the SARU. Without PdV to clown about and fill the pages it would be dull between games with the only thing to fill the time whinging and whining at how bad a coach Deans is and how lilly livered some of our players.

Thank you Hoskins and PdV for lightening the mood again.

PDV's misconduct charge has been dismissed by SANZAR on the basis that he 'probably did not breach the code of conduct' after his comments on the Rugby Club did not mention or referred to referees and match fixing.

Hold out your hand while I hit you with a wet piece of paper.......

Eh? Burger did eight weeks. Now, it should have been eight months; but he was done for it.

For what it's worth, Piet Snor was always going to get off. There genuinely wasn't enough in it for a charge this serious, as there was too much ambiguity.

Snor's not dumb, gentlemen. Occasionally mad as a box of frogs, but he's not dumb. And, I'd further point out, you lot have moved considerably closer to his viewpoint over the last couple of weeks... ;)

Sadly, I think it will take a lot of losses.

Can you imagine the political minefield in SA if SARU tried to sack him. The race card will come out quicker than you can say "clown".

Just to put thing in perspective. Nick Mallet got fired as Bok coach for commenting that he thought test match tickets were a bit expensive.

So I am afraid that at this stage there is no limit to what PdV will get away with.

It makes South Africans look ridiculous. My neighbours already think I'm an infidel.

First off, you're 'n Bloubull. That means you are part of the forces of the Antichrist, finish en klaar.

Secondly, the key with Mallett was he was occupying the seat that Luyt's Mini-Ek Markgraaf wanted. He was therefore always a dead man walking.

Thirdly, Snor got it right recently, pointing out that for any Bok coach, when you win, you're Superman, when you lose, you're a clown. It's an impossible job, because when it comes to calm, rational assessment, Bok fans are the SH's answer to the Welsh. So, the only option is to go along for the ride and enjoy it while you can. ;)

What a joke. Jannie Lubbe, you are a clown.
This is all a conspiracy to make sure the best looking country of the 3N gets more distracted than James O'Connor in a room full of mirrors and forgets to pack their A-game when they pack for South Africa. With their confidence destroyed, Bakkies will then destroy their pretty-boy looks in next year's S14 (earning a sizeable ban) and come world cup time, FP, Reg and Gagger have to be called up, while ABs implode under pressure, leaving PdV to saunter over the line.

I'm not talking about the Lions game. He appeared to attack the face of Pocock, very close or at the eye area in a raking fashion the Boks vs Wallabies game in Brisbane. Check out the video. (I'm sure someone with more ability than me can post it in this thread.) He should at least have been cited.

Yeah I saw that and immediately hit the rewind button anf though fuck, 8 weeks and gone.

Somehow Pocock didn't even protest. That much was weird.

Burger is a dirty player. Unfortunately. As much as I like the way he actually plays when he is "on".

He's got some sort of issue I reckon Blue. There's being hard and then there's being filthy. Burger is by all accounts a really decent bloke, but on the paddock it's like his brain gets disengaged or something.

Pocock seems to have an amazing ability to block out all else and just focus on his own game. I reckon if it was another player Burger would have either got an elbow to the head, or the player would have been complaining to the ref.

Whether he got him in the eye or not, there seemed to be an intent there and it was very surprising it wasn't cited.
