Like Agustin Pichot, the head of World Rugby stating that the international game is on the verge of collapse?

Healthy my arse.

And I heard his boss Bill Beaumont saying it going gangbusters, so you can cling to negative stuff, and I will carry on being happy! I know it like ANY sport had challenges, but it will do me!!

Damian McKenzie has been ruled out of the Rugby Championship test against Argentina on Sunday due to a family bereavement.

He will return to the side for the South Africa leg.

https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/107411914/damian-mckenzie-ruled-out-of-argentina-test

Unfortunately the piece also says that McKenzie's absence "will almost certainly mean a role for rookie Richie Mo'unga with the All Balcks [sic] needing cover at No 10 where Beauden Barrett is expected to start." No thanks. I'd much rather have:

10. R.Mo'unga
11. R.Ioane
12. A.Lienert-Brown
13. J.Goodhue
14. B.Smith
15. B.Barrett

22. N.Laumape/S.B.Williams
23. J.Barrett

But that would necessitate moving golden boy Barrett #1 out of his preferred position to his best position, and relegating golden boy Barrett #2 to the bench. So won't be happening.

I don't get how ALB keeps getting picked. You have way better options at 12 and 13. Pretty sure it was his bodgy pass for the intercept against the Bokke's too.

Otherwise, that is an utterly terrifying backline hey. Except for J Barrett on the bench, but all being fit you'd have McKenzie there.

Doubt whether BB will start at 15 with Smith on wing zer0, though may see Mounga start with BB on bench. I know you don't like or appear to not like the Barret boys, but I have no problem with either of them starting, and strongly suspect that SBW will be at 12, with ALB on bench? And for Derpus, I know why ALB keeps getting picked, he is a bloody good player, really see a huge future for him at 12, and doubt whether Shag and co see the same and won't throw him over one pass!

All Blacks team to play Argentina at Estadio Jose Amalfitani on Sunday at 11.40am*, is:

15. Ben Smith
14. Waisake Naholo
13. Ryan Crotty
12. Sonny Bill Williams
11. Rieko Ioane
10. Beauden Barrett
9. TJ Perenara
8. Luke Whitelock
7. Sam Cane
6. Shannon Frizell
5. Scott Barrett
4. Sam Whitelock ©
3. Ofa Tuungafasi
2. Codie Taylor
1. Karl Tu'inukuafe

Reserves: Nathan Harris, Tim Perry, Angus Ta'avao, Patrick Tuipulotu, Ardie Savea, Aaron Smith, Richie Mo'unga, Anton Lienert-Brown.

Return of the two-strike-winger formation which, as I believe I've mentioned on here more than once, has NEVER FUCKIN' WORKED FOR US, EVER, so YTF do they think it's suddenly going to? I realise JBar has to spend some time in the naughty corner for that INSANE quick throw-in & DMac's had to fly home but FFS why can't Beaugan be the official 15 for once? It's not like he doesn't spend anywhere between 20% & 40% of his time out the back whilst wearing 10 so it's not exactly uncharted territory.

*NZDT so three hours ahead of Queensland (not sure when NSW DST starts).

To keep it simple:

1. Good
2. Good
3. Solid enough
4. Good
5. Good
6. Should be at #8
7. Should probably be the actual front line #6
8. Should be at #6
9. At least he won't be f*cking us in the final quarter with Hurricanes decision making
10. Will probably be f*cking us in the final quarter with Hurricanes decision making
11. Good
12. Will he go down first?
13. Or will it be him?
14. Solid and should be okay if the Argies play like they did in Nelson and don't go full kicky-kicky
15. Good

And finally, WHERE THE F*CK IS GOODHUE?!

You played two strike wingers in Bledisloe 1 and Naholo in particular completely obliterated us.

That pack, apart from Sam W, maybe Taylor, and, prior to this season, Cane, has fuckall to do with the All Blacks. Lose to these fluffybunnys and Hansen's legacy will be "oh that shithead? Presided over first ever losses in AB history to fucken Ireland and the Argies? NEXT."
The centres are hospice care. Just get these 2 busted flushes OUT and get Goodhue and A.N.Other in there ffs.
The reserve front row also have NOTHING to do with the All Blacks.
haha, Zero called it with spatula-brained TJP.
Q: During the Sydney to Hobart yacht race, do you want to smash directly into the rocks in;
a: Sydney
b: Hobart

I can see it now. Angus Ta' avao drops the ball cold metres from an open try line to save the match after the siren.

Naholo had probably his best-ever game in Black & Ioane one of his poorest. Happens every time we try it: one goes OK-to-very-good, the other not so much. But mostly it's about balance & kick-return options: against a team with a decent long kicking game we need the second fullback option, moreso if the opposition also has a good kick-chase. Argentina do, your blokes in Sydney not so much.

Well I was quite happy with team, until I read comments! Geez either Hansen has really f***** up or there or we got a few here that know bugger all about the game! Guess I can only hope they not embarrassed too much by the Pumas.;).
I would add that looks much like we will end game with B Smith (mind you he could probably do with a break) on wing BB at 15 Mounga at 10, ALB 12, so any changes can always be made earlier I suppose.

^^^^^^^ the loss of DMac obviously limited their options in terms of 10/ 15 & bench but I'd have done things a little differently. Don't have a problem with the forwards given who's unavailable.

Anyhoo Argentina have made two changes:

Argentina team: Emiliano Boffelli, Bautista Delguy, Jeronimo De La Fuente, Bautista Ezcurra, Matias Moroni, Nicolas Sanchez, Gonzalo Bertranou, Javier Ortega Desio, Marcos Kremer, Pablo Matera, Tomas Lavanini, Guido Petti, Ramiro Herrera, Agustin Creevy, Nahuel Tetaz Chaparro. Bench: Julian Montoya, Juan Pablo Zeiss, Santiago Medrano, Matias Alemanno, Juan Manuel Leguizamon, Tomas Cubelli, Matias Orlando, Sebastian Cancelliere

Not having Moyano at 12 will hurt them I think, bloke did some damage in Nelson.

Your deference to the coach's expertise is maddening, Dan. This is the internet, misplaced outrage is a prerequisite.

Actually not deference to coach, just more trying to understand why misplaced outrage is required. Perhaps I just an old bugger who likes to be a bit positive in most things . I know some like being miserable and find things wrong with things, and it there way of being noticed here, but hey but this is a rugby forum, so someone has to the voice of reason and positivity!

Being reasonable is very admirable, but what's left to discuss if you just agree with everything?

Anyways. I hope you lot get fucking pumped, no offence.

None taken Derpus, you have made it very clear you don't like the ABs, that's up to you. Plenty to discuss mate, just how we think team or teams will play, even who should be in team, but to read some of posts, there is about 5-6 who should be in team, Shag couldn't pick a team to save himself, geez imagine how good they could be with decent coach/selector and good players in team! I say the same with Wallabies, we can pick them to pieces, same as Chuckles, or we can make constructive criticism with sensible alternatives!
