The new Wallaby jersey

Would have to agree, the white alternate looks fairly crisp. Doesn't really matter that it's white, it's an alternate jersey
If that's what we're after - a crisp look that's fashionable - we may as well get a black and a red alternative jersey as well. Red shirts go well with almost anything and definitely beat white for fashion and crispness.

Not an Aussie colour, but if that's not our criteria then it along with pretty well any other colour deserves equal consideration with white.

Would be a laugh to see Australia put out a black jersey I have to say, perhaps even more so than dressing like England.

Well, seen one now at Rebel, the yellow one is pretty average and just looks cheap, and the green shoulder, meh, it makes the previous versions look like masterpieces

I expect to see the clearance bins full on them for the Christmas sales

I thought it's already been established that the ARU don't have any say about the alternate being white. It's a directive from World Rugby that all teams' alternate is white.

If that's true it must be a new directive given that in 2007 the All Blacks wore grey as their alternative.

Also, where does that leave England?

Why is white more visually appealing? The best ODI jersey we've ever had was an Adidas dark green one with genuinely gold stripes from the mid 00s.

Fact is dark green is the other half of "green and gold". It ain't gold and white.

Nah. This is.

In fact the change to green was terrible and completely against the history of the ODI uniform.

Hahahaha well I sense where you're coming from - it put the team in a good looking kit for once, instead of some shit a kit with a penchant for yellow and couple hours MS Paint dreamed up.

Training jersey isn't actually that bad. I can even get past the flouro green in favour of the other shite.

England are in the same position as Collingwood in the AFL. Collingwood's home jersey is black and white vertical stripes, the away jersey is white and black vertical stripes

My Guam jersey is also white. It doesn't get confused with england very often.

... it might help that it has in big block letters across the front "GUAM"

Hmm. How quickly we forget England's charcoal, red, and mauve efforts in recent seasons.

Also, Collingwood were forced to wear orange when they played against Swan Districts in the 1980s (Eddie would love to keep that swept under the carpet).

Charcole? Are you referring to the 2011 England "All Blacks"?

Didn't they just go with that really dark green 'cos the sponsor's logo was predominantly gold? I seem to recall that being the (non-Australian) consensus at the time....................

Nah, they had commbank before and after they went for that strip. Doesn't matter though - looked bloody awesome with the metallic gold trimming. Certainly suited the 3 consecutive World Cup winning team.

Yeah they got the jersey AFTER they'd won 3 - already said that.

Don't really see how it matters one way or the other what non Aussies theorized about it - the top was still considered one of the best ever by Aussie fans for one of our ODI tops and sold a tonne.

Point was the All Green kit worked and looked great. Again, why can't we have something like it for rugby, even if as a one off?
