Good news for the Mighty Two Blues.

BellyTwoBlues or Ryan09
One of you should send a PM to Gagger to coordinate the logistics of this.

The obligations are that there should be a mention of Vale Ale in the MRSL newsletter, on the Two Blues Website, and some piccies of the boys drinking Vale Ale not shiraz sent to Gagger for publication on the blog.

Well done Ryan09. I'm sure that the volunteers behind the Mighty Two Blues resurgence this year will enjoy some of the sponsors product.
Jeezus I wrote that well. I'll have belly two blues follow it up

Australia's oldest living Wallaby, 92 year old Eric Tweedale, recently spoke with club stalwart and match reporter, Peter Thompson. The first episode of the video interview in which Eric talks about his early life growing up in Merrylands, how he went to a GPS school, took up Rugby at 15 and made his first grade debut at the tender age of 17 is available on the Two Blues website.

Enjoyed the interview.

Very Impressive memory for 92 years old.

Looking forward to the next part.

Thommo will have to do another interview when Eric hits the 100. The way Eric looks, he will do it easy.

Keen to see the Two Blues bounce back next year and make the finals - is Glen Christini still at the club for the 2014 season?

Glen Christini is returning to his native NZ. He will be greatly missed but the Two Blues are excited by the appointment of Gerrard Fasavalu, a very impressive young man, as the incoming head coach. The announcement was made on the Two Blues website.

Thanks for the update mate - any idea what Glen will be doing in NZ?

Glen was recently interviewed by club stalwart Peter Thompson. I believe the video of that interview will be published on the club website this week. I know that, prior to coming to Australia, Glen was involved with the Northland ITM setup as a development manager and the U/19 coach. I simply can't imagine that a couple of ITM clubs wouldn't be preparing to have a chat with him. He is an outstanding coach.

Have to agree mate - what he did in Canberra with Queanbyn and Vikings was fantastic and then of course Para!

Perhaps I was remiss in failing to mention Glen's record in the Canberra comp - coached 4 years, competed in 4 Grand Finals, winning 3 of them and losing the other one in the final minute. His achievements, and his manner, at Parra have left all Two Blues players, management and fans in no doubt that he is a quality person and an outstanding coach.

The Mighty Two Blues Video interview series is a such a very important project for Rugby.

In a week where we lose John Hipwell to the game in Heaven, it is so important to have annecdotal archival records of the past.

Again the Mighty Two Blues are setting a benchmark for others to follow.

The life and times of Eric Tweedale belong to Australian Rugby, and it should not be up to the initiative of individual clubs to establish that record. This should be part of a project that is centrally coordinated, if not financed as well.

Well done to Thommo and the team, but I smell the DNA and support of your GM here.

HJ, I know Thommo has plans to interview all our living Wallabies, and other notables including club legend Frank Lawson, over the coming months. Personally, I'd love to see all clubs do this and perhaps the ARU could assist in some way.

2bluesfan, the importance of having these records can NOT be understated.

We are defined by where we have come from.

We need to have a record detailing where we came from to preserve the rich traditions and values of our game.

We need to get this established before they get their call up for the run on squad for the game in Heaven.

When this record is established, download it and have it on repeat on certain players itunes devices so there is no doubt as to what they are representing when they pull on their club, rep or Wobs jumper.

Bravo to Thommo. Are you listening ARU?

The latest instalment of the Thommo Interviews is now up on the Two Blues website. Glen Christini gives us a little of his history, how he came to coach at Parra and his plans for his future career, and his opinion on what's wrong with the Wallabies. Most controversially, Glen spills the beans on Sosene Anesi. Not to be missed.

The third episode of the Eric Tweedale interview has been published on the Two Blues website this morning. In a wide ranging conversation, Eric talks of his great pride in establishing the Parramatta Juniors in a league stronghold. He is an amazing man.

Thommo has been spending a lot of time in front of the camera lately - he'll be expecting an invitation to the Emmys next. The Mighty Two Blues recently appointed Gerrard Fasavalu as head Coach for 2014. His interview with Thommo has been published on the Two Blues website. I've been lucky enough to have a couple of chats with Gerrard - he is a very impressive young man.
