Will the winner of the wonderfully laminated certificate representing the overall leader in the G&GR MOM awards also be counted down tomorrow night?

Do we have a Gaggerland snout attending the Nobody dinner with the said laminated certificate ready to present to OUR winner?

No. We follow the calendar year, and announce the winner after the EOYT.

How the fuck could Barnes possibly be anywhere near contention for this medal?

Three stellar games against Wales, plus a few solid efforts in minnow games and the EOYT.

As there is no dominant player, it may be a low scoring count. This brings in guys like Barnes and Hooper who have had good spurts rather than a full season of consistent efforts.

No-one is talking about the most coveted award, the one given for batting above their weight.

Squeaky Moore is a hot favourite, but who will step up?

Standing 20m behind the gainline all game, kicking aimlessly more often than passing it, and taking poor options in the few occasions he didn't kick it counts as steller these days does it?

Superb tackling as always, but the rest of the game's were mediocrity with a few flashes of good attacking play.

Take the blinkers off mate. He was widely acknowledged as MoTM in two of the three games, on here and in the wider media.

If you don't agree with it then good for you. But it doesn't change the reality that he will poll well for the series.

The try one is hard!

Assuming we're only going for internationals:

Genia's try is up there, but for me Ioanes try in the last Argie game, and Dagg's in the first game against us are my picks.

A good first phase, planned and rehearsed move that pays off first attempt and results in a try, is the pinnacle.

Is it? I'll say it again but Quade was the 10 against USA and Russia, it's pretty much expected.

Points scored against ABs in the medal period:

Quade at 10: 6 from 2 games
Barnes/Beale at 10: 37 from 2 games

Total points scored does not necessarily equate to tries, which is really what the stats I am referring relate to.

It is NOT expected given how many games he has missed, whilst others have continued playing.

It is also not necessarily the sole province of the 5/8th. I would have thought that any number of players would be significantly higher than 4. Are you saying that no one else benefited of last pass against USA and Russia?

That said, I'd have given Pocock the points against Russia for this try alone...

Plus don't forget 2 dads scored three tries in seven minutes against the yanks, he could be picking up 3 points for that game.
