I'm not surprised by this at all. What I am surprised by is that RA has apparently flagged the intention to actually take action. I wonder if this will take 48 to 72 hours to resolve.

Now I don't really care what people say on social media, having very little now days to do with any of it, and the extreme cynic in me is actually questioning if under another CEO Qantas would even care about these posts. I certainly don't and in absolute fact has he posted anything which is not generally known information about his particular sect? That being the case is prohibiting him tweeting such closely held facts from that sect not tantamount to banning people from that group or at the very least censoring them in public. I know and understand all the arguments about his position and its influence on vulnerable people etc, but it is also a fact that these tweets have not directly targeted any person, unlike somebody else who caused the resignation of a coach and very significant payouts to an employee, yet that bloke kept his position and in fact received further "promotions" with jersey design opportunities etc etc all despite a bad behavioural history. Do not take this as a defence of Folau, its not, I don't care if he goes due to his own stupidity in continuing to post shit he has been warned about, he is not a child and could have made an informed decision, my only issue with the process is the inequity when considering the recent precedents.

The worst thing is you can guarantee that Andrew Bolt, Miranda Devine and Rita Panahi are suddenly going to be massive rugby fans writing about this great travesty of justice and how Rugby Australia needs to be sued into oblivion for attacking freedom of speech.

Alan Jones will be locked and loaded and ready to fire off with both barrels tomorrow.

Welcome to the culture wars Rugby Australia.

Hopefully Bill Shorten’s electric cars will have them too frothed up..........

Thankfully Alan Jones’ national Sunrise spot is not until next Wednesday.

interesting battle in the likes section. 16,622 like for Izzy's post.
5569 for Tai Tuivasa (UFC fighter) suggesting he needs a hiding.

This would be a good/interesting poll. Wish i knew how to do one
Should RA
A - Do Nothing
B - punish - e.g. fine/ suspend/community service/Take him to the Bingham Cup Mad Monday
C - Sack him

Pass it to Dunning!

Does anybody think there's something weirdly self-destructive about this? He posts this knowing full well about the social media clause in his contract, then dodges calls from RA all day? Did he skip training today too? Does he have a better offer so he wants out of his contract?

Perhaps.

Tonight Bolt spoke in support of RA protecting their business interests. Short piece only on close out of his programme and may well be more later. But not what you are portraying this evening.

Maybe his aerial tries from the weekend made him nostalgic for State of Origin, that other World Cup?

Qantas must sell advertising on Sky..............

But more importantly, somebody watches the Bolt Report?

I understand the two different examples you're illustrating here and the hypocrisy (I even agree with the lack of outrage in Beales situation).

However, if a white sports person posted something along the lines of "BLACKS, ASIANS etc etc HELL AWAITS YOU REPENT" can you see while no person is directly targeted, specific groups are. Our society has discrimination laws based on race, colour, sexual preferences etc. So I don't agree with your premise that while a specific person wasn't targeted, but a minority of people are.

You've got to remember, Australian Rugby has gone out of its way to support the LGBTI community through the Bingham Cup (which Izzy was a poster boy of a few years ago).

Sometimes I think these people have legitimately never read Andrew Bolt - but have no problem whatsoever assuming what his views are and condemning him for those.

All very nice and tolerant.

I was thinking his dodging ph calls was more likely a rabbit in the spotlights reaction, rather than it being a flipping the bird response.

To be fair, Bolt is is a piece of garbage.......... and the vast majority of things he craps out is vile, hateful bile lacking in any factual credibility.

I once worked with a really lovely guy who also worked for Bolt, and apparently Bolt would host nice dinners.............
