I'm not surprised by this at all. What I am surprised by is that RA has apparently flagged the intention to actually take action. I wonder if this will take 48 to 72 hours to resolve.
Now I don't really care what people say on social media, having very little now days to do with any of it, and the extreme cynic in me is actually questioning if under another CEO Qantas would even care about these posts. I certainly don't and in absolute fact has he posted anything which is not generally known information about his particular sect? That being the case is prohibiting him tweeting such closely held facts from that sect not tantamount to banning people from that group or at the very least censoring them in public. I know and understand all the arguments about his position and its influence on vulnerable people etc, but it is also a fact that these tweets have not directly targeted any person, unlike somebody else who caused the resignation of a coach and very significant payouts to an employee, yet that bloke kept his position and in fact received further "promotions" with jersey design opportunities etc etc all despite a bad behavioural history. Do not take this as a defence of Folau, its not, I don't care if he goes due to his own stupidity in continuing to post shit he has been warned about, he is not a child and could have made an informed decision, my only issue with the process is the inequity when considering the recent precedents.
