Media is invited to a Photo, Vision and Interview opportunity at ARU Headquarters at 11.00am tomorrow.

Australian Rugby Union will make an important player announcement.

Qantas Wallabies coach Robbie Deans and ARU Managing Director and CEO John O’Neill will also attend to discuss the upcoming Tri Nations Tests against the Springboks in South Africa and the Bledisloe Cup Test in Sydney on 11 September.

Vickers signing would seem an obvious one?

Unless it's a retirement? Waugh? Gits heading OS?

Would love to hear Vickers is fit and a possibility to re-appear.
More likely an old stager is going - Waugh, Morty or the like.

Would they do this to announce a new captaincy? Not that it's that likely ATM as far as I can see...

I think it could be Elsom standing down from captaincy. I don't think Vicks would have something like this if he was signing he would be a great asset though, but we would have heard some speculation in the media about who Vicks could be signing for.

Hope GAGR will be there to ask some probing and awkward questions, of which there's a good list of 100+ after the last 3 Tests...

Hmmm....let's work hard on this...could SBW have changed his mind (he's said he could qualify for Aus rugby via one or other relative).

Or Larkham coming back in a desperate rescue bid?

...or Drew Mitchell's been forbidden to play for Balmain?

If this is true then I'm absolutely stoked. Vickermann back makes our locking stocks look pretty good all of a sudden, especially if Horwill returns from injury. With those two plus TPN and Alexander and all of sudden we have a pretty useful looking tight five. Dare I say it, one that would match the All Blacks and the Boks.

You could do a whole lot worse than giving Vickerman the line-out captain duties against Russia and America in the WC. I can't see him contributing a whole lot more than that.

Poor Timani, looks like no 'Tahs contract for him.
