Super Rugby Pacific 2025

Wilson

Reds should have Lynagh and Wilson (?) back. At home.

Ita one of those games for the Reds, if you can't win this one, don't even bother from now on.

Any idea on LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto)/Uru?
It's all speculation given the minimal comms but it sounded like Salakaia-Loto might be back but Uru was no chance.

Reds should absolutely get it done either way, but helpfully that Hurricanes v Highlanders game looked like carnage for the canes a week after they lost Naholo. Certainly if they play how they did in that game it should be the Reds easily.

More talking about the Highlanders already having ripped through them - looked like Iose, Sullivan and Punivai all went off injured with Higgins and Proctor also playing hurt at the end when there were no subs left. Not yet clear how many of them will back up, but it won't help them in a must win encounter.

Well deserved, but I do remember that someone on here predicted this outcome as soon as the voting method was announced, given its potentially perceived shortcomings.
I don't think this is too much a flaw of the method, it's pretty hard to argue with the performances Ardie has put in and the degree to which it has transformed Moana - exactly what you're looking for in an MVP.

The issue here is that unlike something like the Dally M which makes the votes secret from the middle of the season they continued to publish weekly votes. If they do want to get serious about this going forward and do things like a proper award show, then they need to keep the scoring secret for a big reveal.

Week 14.

My beloved Brumbies continue to stampede up the rankings (+0.6) en route to seizing 2nd place from Cantabistan (-0.24).

There are no other noteworthy results or changes from this weekend.

If they want weekly content, then they can introduce a NZ (inc. Moana) and Aus (inc. Drua) player of the week like you have in the NFL. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the NFL weekly awards are stats driven while annual awards are votes, which could be copied. Then have the relevant weekly shows in Australia and NZ include it as a segment focusing on some details of that players performances (ideally from both countries, rather than just their own).

Can even split it by forwards + backs as well if you want. I.e., Aus forward + back of the week and NZ forward + back of the week.
