Obviously it's impossible to work out how things would have gone if they'd taken a different approach but it is interesting how much the Reds have turned down penalty shots at goal despite having very accurate goal kicking.

I don't know how many tries and total points the Reds would have scored if they'd varied their approach to take the more kickable shots at goal but it is interesting to consider.

Given the Reds are 6th in points scored and 5th in tries scored it doesn't seem like they are optimizing their overall point scoring by kicking for the corner and going for tries.

I was pumped for the Wallabies and Springbok game last year; 2:30pm in August..... The only thing worse than paying $200+ a ticket to watch that Wallaby performance was the overcast skies.

We didn't get a single afternoon game this year at Suncorp for the Reds. Frustrating as I've got a 2.5 and a 5 year old that'd love to go, but getting home at 10pm isn't really doable.

Yep Ig, the one thing I have noticed with the afternoon games in NZ this year , is the number of kids there. Ase you say the younger ones of your kids age, next to impossible or really hard to take to night games.

Really hard to gauge, particularly because there are potentially games that would've been lost by not going to the corner - both Force games are probably in that category, as is the winning BP against the Highlanders.

Goes both ways.

You could argue the Reds took shots v the Canes that in other weeks would have been drilled 5m out and mauled in for a try at least one of them.
