Obviously it's impossible to work out how things would have gone if they'd taken a different approach but it is interesting how much the Reds have turned down penalty shots at goal despite having very accurate goal kicking.
I don't know how many tries and total points the Reds would have scored if they'd varied their approach to take the more kickable shots at goal but it is interesting to consider.
Given the Reds are 6th in points scored and 5th in tries scored it doesn't seem like they are optimizing their overall point scoring by kicking for the corner and going for tries.
