If Australian rugby doesn't lift in Super Rugby with the addition of players from Rebels then it has to be the quality of the coaches we have.

This is already the case.

Who is the last Australian coach to come through our “coaching pathway” from grassroots, to high performance, assistant coach to head coach? And actually be successful?

If we look at recent examples, even a guy like Thorn came back to Australia from NZ and I’d argue he was in some of best coaching environments in the NRL.

They were too far down the ladder I didn't think anyone cared what they finished. Haha
Nah but seriously I still believe they'll be a bottom half team next year, hopefully improving though.
