It was a clinical display from the Blues. Made for a slightly boring game as a neutral as the Chiefs didn't look like challenging the outcome and it was never in the balance with the Blues well and truly dominating.

Lots of credit to Cotter and his team for tweaking this squad into a championship-winning outfit. The raw materials have been there for a while now, but him and his team has really got the players singing from the same page.

And for @Dismal Pillock and co, enjoy. I must say I'm just happy to not see another year of the Crusaders winning the title and feel better that our top Australian team was beaten by the competition champions.

Highlights

@Dan54 why don't you think Plummer will be in the 32 on Monday? Pick Beaugan as a 15/10 & there's still room for HP as a 10/12 esp for the Fiji match when DMac will presumably be rested.
Not sure WOB, just be real surprised if he made it. Be real clear though, I would be happy if he was, as think he has been underestimated as a player for a while. Just hink the fact the talk has only started last couple of weeks sums it up, especially after Leon said last week nonen was really forcing their way in. As you say, he would be handy as cover at 10 and 12. A lot will depend on how they see Perofeta and BB. But would be great if he was brought in as someone to play in Fijian test. I wonder if he would be looked at more in ABXV?

Maybe the Super Rugby in the 90s-2000s-2010s. Not the current one where all the best players of each country play abroad

Is being a starter in the Drua, Highlanders, Force, Rebels and Moana side the same as being the best in the world?

With those players these teams could compete against Blues, Canes and Chiefs

Imagine these teams:

Crusaders: Richie Mo'unga, Ardie Savea, Gareth Anscombe
Highlanders: Aaron Smith, Beauden Barrett, Sam Cane, Dane Coles
Waratahs: Will Skelton, Jack Dempsey, Sione Tuipulotu, Michael Ala'alatoa
Reds: Samu Kerevi, Marika Koroibete, Tom Banks
Brumbies: Rory Arnold, Pete Samu, Mack Hansen
Drua: Levani Botia, Josua Tuisova, Waisea Nayacalevu
Moana: Ben Tameifuna, Vaea Fifita, Pita Ahki, Shannon Frizell, Steve Luatua
