Super Rugby Au Round 9 - Rebels vs Waratahs, 7:15pm Sat 29th August

It is for the betterment of Australian rugby that the Rebels win. The Waratahs will be in a better place after eating some more humility pie.

Not really, we want to see those young U20 lads developing and the Waratahs evolving. I'm liking the style Penney is trying to instill. Your right though, the Rebels should really be getting up with the time, squad etc.. that Wessels n' co have had down there (we'll up here currently).

Not sure if I'm odd, but I often just want to see all the teams performing, improving, even if ultimately I still want the win. Would actually love less lopsided scores.

I actually don't hate NSW, I hate the Waratahs. Disaster of an organisation.

I don't suddenly dislike Brumbies playing for NSW that ridiculous.

The Brumbies are hard nosed, humble and a great asset to Australian rugby.

The Waratahs, and their supporters are the opposite.

But no, if you do have a genuine interest, I would have no problem with Brumbies players playing for NSW.

The culture of the Brumbies is poles apart from the Tahs - in fact the Brumbies players will make NSW much more palatable.
Ok, so that clears it up. You just hate the Waratahs (the organisation, NSW Rugby in fact), their players, and all their supporters. Nothing stereotypical there at all, as you were.

Correct.

The place stands for nothing except for nepotism and corruption - often at the expense of all the other states.

The fans don't show up, they boo the team - the Wallabies then inherit all their players, all their coaches, all their issues.

Australian rugby would be much, much better with less influence from the Waratahs.

QLD itself has been a basketcase and we are not out of the woods yet, but it speaks volumes that the Brumbies take the off-cuts of both sides and quite often make them better players than the ones QLD and NSW keep.

Let's pick less Tahs players, and take less coaches from NSW for a few years and see how we go.

NSW losing this week, and missing finals would be a good first step in achieving this.

I can no longer understand what is going on. I thought Moeroa was strong in his A games pre COVID shutdown and deserved some game time when others were getting some earlier in the season. He didn't and we seemingly moved on. Its now a do or die game this weekend with everything on the line and now Penney has decided to start Moeroa?

Disenfranchise 50% of the current fan base and grow the game in ACT? Glad you aren’t anywhere near the tiller.

Anyway go Tahs!

Pfft. Because the Reds supporters are doing Australian rugby right. Every year i hear how the Wallabies side should be stacked full of Reds who are invariably something like 4/15.

A Reds fan throwing stones at the Tahs for being an 'atrociously run organization' can only be trolling.

I guess the Brumbies being the pillar of Australian rugby does explain our recent malaise, given they've achieved fuck all for the better part of 16 years.

Hang on, hang on, careful with who you are tarring with that brush!

Good team. Wells is a good choice for 6, and I see the logic in running Pone in the last 30min.

First time I've seen a 5-3 split bench in a while. Think it's tight right time to mix it up.

Rebels going for a 5/3 bench this week, might be the first time this season?

Kemeny out, have to presume injured. Ha'angana out for Pincus.

Big first up challenge for Moeroa. Talk aobut diving into the deepend end. Never seen him play Rugby (oir liog) - is he up for this?
Physically he will be fine, I suspect it’s more his technical proficiencies that have been holding him back
