It's the reality of having the Perth Timezone - if the Force are playing at home then there's an extra prime time slot available on Friday or Saturday night. That and having the byes condensed into 3 rounds in the middle of the comp means there's only so many weeks it makes sense to utilize the Sunday afternoon.I think we are wasting Sunday afternoons only half of the available Sundays have a match scheduled
I have to disagree, I know a lot of posters on this site like Sunday afternoon games. I for one hate them, they are way more to organize as I have dinner at either my parents or my in laws in a Sunday. It's not easy to organize with small kids to go to the game and then travel an hour on transport for dinner all with school/daycare the following day.I think we are wasting Sunday afternoons only half of the available Sundays have a match scheduled
I'm not sure 9:30 or 11:30 pm is exactly 'primetime'It's the reality of having the Perth Timezone - if the Force are playing at home then there's an extra prime time slot available on Friday or Saturday night.

Thats a good point BR, does make sense to have games at Canberra early as weather turns, maybe trying to avoid club rugby is the reason? I know Blues have got their afternoon games before club rugby starts in NZ.Everyone will no doubt have issues with how their side is dealt with, but the Brumbies are particularly disadvantaged by some aspects of the draw.
First, the Brumbies were quite vocal about wanting to have two or three Sunday afternoon games for the comfort of the crowd. They appear to have got none.
Second, most of the home games are later in the draw when the weather is turning icy. Not good again for the crowd.
Then to cap it off, they are the only Aussie side that has to play another NZ side (Chiefs) in the supplementary three matches.
I am truly surprised that they managed to avoid consecutive matches away to the Force followed by the Drua on consecutive weekends. Fortunately the bye lies in between.
Other than the Round 12 clash against the Western Force on the 8th of MayThey appear to have got none.
