Well I'm sure we are all aware how seriously some people take their job, but I was really frankly offended by security at suncorp last night.

The incident I'm referring to is the bloke in the Southern stand who was geeing everyone up and unleashing the support. He was starting some good mexican waves (as much as i don't like them due to the boredom connotations) but you could clearly see he was there to support the team, and he actually got the We are Red thing going. Like legit quite well.

Then security decided to throw him out.

I thought it was a massive dog act. Thoughts?

Ive had season ticket to the Reds since they move to the Stadium, it was great years when know one Turned up, but your right the Security there of late are Dicks. They should know the Difference from the Broncos State of Origin Game, (QLD lady pissing at her seat)crowd and a Union crowd.. It got harsh when they flash a number up on the scoreboard to call, to dob in a spectator being to loud,

Was he drinking? Usually that is means enough to kick him out under the 'drunk' clause. I've seen people removed at the Gabba for similar reasons.. usually any approach to the fence or mexican wave starting will result in being shown the door.

Thats the thing, if they start getting to serious with spectators caring on and supporting there team people may stop going. With out spectator there are no REDS, I know its not about getting boozed but nothing better then being Vocal and Passionate for the team you go for.

To play at Suncorp you need 15000 people to break even or to make some money, (not sure which one) and its hard in a City thats big on The Broncos. Plus you have to be winning which Helps here in Brissy. It will be great to have 30000 for the rest of the season

And then we had the footage of the male Reds supporter at ANZ last weekend not only "pissing at his seat" but sitting in the rising damp while he did so and then pulling his dacks up without a care in the world.

There are subtle cultural differences between the states.

Back in the good ole days, grounds had a grassed area for bevans, bogans, tough tats, sledgers, fighters, boozers..........they were all herded into the pig pen and caged.

The respectable folk sat in the grand stand

They were segregated. Life was good for all parties. The toffs got to look down their noses and scoff and politely giggle. The bogans got to point at the toffs, laugh and then throw cans at each other whilst rolling a smoke, swigging a Tooheys, sledging the opposition, eating a cold pie and being obnoxious.

Birds of a feather.................

Now the bogans, bevans, beryls, fighters, boozers, larrikins have been covertly shifted into the stands with the respectable folk. Everybody has a sh1te time

Society has many cars on it's freeways

The world has become too PC

Generally the security staff at Suncorp are good. And without having witnessed last night's eviction I can't make a call specifically on it, but previous evictions I've seen at Suncorp have been well deserved. What will get you punted is if you start dropping a few very loud 'F' bombs into your cheering, or launching anything into the sky as part of your Mexican waving. Actually, I once was sitting near a bloke in row 1 at a Tri Nations match who got so hammered from pre-game drinks that he managed to throw up over the fence and on to the field in the first half and then pass out by half time. Once stadium staff figured out what had happened that was the end of it for him.

We don't want him.

My apologies to one and all. I saw the footage on here and assumed it was at ANZ. When I couldn't find it here I Googled for it and found it was the Suncorp footage of the "QLD lady" previously mentioned.

So not only did I get the game wrong and the stadium wrong and the code wrong but also the gender. The shame and embarrassment will linger for quite a while.

I have had a huge problem with the staff at Suncorp for years. They go out of their way to take the fun out of any event. The gentleman on Saturday did nothing wrong except break an ill-conceived no Mexican wave ruling some pencil pusher passed years ago. apparently Mexican Wave are dangerous and should be rubbed out at all costs.

Last season there was a group of about 5 guys who every week would come along and have a few drinks sing songs and support there team. Until they fell fowl of the storm police at suncorp. Apparently their singing was annoying the other patrons. this was complete bull we all loved their passion. It was some tool on a power trip.

5 years ago I got into trouble for abusing a guy for continually standing in front of me and Gill. Gill is 5"2 and if people stand she can't see a thing. After a half and 10 minutes of politely asking him to sit down I let fly and told to sit the fuck down or I would knock his block off. Within minutes I was in trouble for stirring trouble and he was scott free.

I have been moved off the concourse for spending 5 minutes talking to a friend I haven't seen in years while watching the game because "Suncorp is a seating only stadium."

Any regular patron of the Stadium will give you similar stories of the staff treating the punters with total disrespect. There is a huge void between making it a safe place for the public to watch a game and the sit in your seat and watch the game and don't do anything else attitude that the Stadium has. I can do that at home! The joy of watching live sport is to share the fun and passion of those around us. Suncorp Stadium Is determined to stop that from happening.

Don't even start me on not being able to walk on the hallow turf after the game and the $8000 fine that they think is justified to stop us.
