Subbies 2023!

Correct that is the one I am referring to champion

Judiciary is Wednesday night.

TBH I've spoken about judiciary decisions before on here and gotten in trouble, so I'm not going to comment on this one.

My suggestion if you want to know what happened: watch the footage and listen to the referee audio. He says what he gave the cards for.

After that, ask your club secretary or president what the "Thursday List" says about any outcome. They get the emails.

Div 3:
Valley
Harbour
Knobs
Harlequins
Bobs
Old Iggies
+ another club
+ another club

This is the hardest division as i'm not sure many of the teams in div 4 can develop a colts side. I also don't believe its in Iggies best interest to stay in the division but the division needs them.

Would this still be 2 grades + Colts? I'd love to get Colts going for us but a lot of them would be in the 18yo bracket I suspect. Tough to get full commitment to a season when you're doing your HSC during the week, then playing rugby Saturday and league Sunday.

Dont envy the subbies board as they try to figure out the shape of this divison.

You can't please all the people all the time...

Pfitzy how did your player go with judiciary can I ask please the punches looked quite bad
This is the ultimate troll. I wasted my morning finding the footage on Cluch to barely see a punch in a standard melee on the field. Take the early plea. 2 weeks. Free to play the last round and finals, If Chatswood keep forfeitting.

I’m sorry you feel that way but firstly I am not a troll but it could have been my eyes but I’m sure it was a punch or maybe it was a shove of some sort. Good response pfitzy I have nothing against any club I actually think pfitzy’s club is one of the nicer clubs out there

Who here thinks their club has what it takes to take top honours in their respective divisions I think mine does if they play to their potential im
Associated with Div 4 and no I don’t play I more support and run the water or kicking tee

Division 4

McClean Cup First Grade

Irish, having only lost one game (to us! ;) ) look to have their nose in front of Merrylands and Rockdale at this point.
Never count Redfield out - round 14 at Redfield College v Irish should be very interesting, particularly as Irish will want to push their 2nd Grade into a top 2 spot to get the club a week off.
Renegades hopefully make it into 5th with Wakehurst looking likely for 6th, but will be a tall order for either club to survive the first week against some quality sides.

At this stage I've got the finals series looking like this:
Week 1 - 12 August
QF A: Rockdale (3) v Wakehurst (6)
QF B: Redfield (4) v Renegades (5)

Week 2 - 19 August
SF A: Irish (1) v Renegades ;) (W QF B)
SF B: Merrylands (2) v Rockdale (W QF A)

Week 3 - Sat 26 Aug Grand Finals
GF: Renegades ;) (W SF A) v Rockdale (W SF B)

Seriously tho think Irish have got this year in the bag. There will be some good finals tho and hopefully we get everyone on the park for a change :(

The big factor is going to be discipline. Once we get 3 qualified refs from a potentially pool, it may affect some clubs more than others.

Grose Cup Second Grade
A note here: it would feel a bit shit if our team got into the finals on the back of forfeits. We haven't won on the field all year, the closest being a 4-try loss to Chatswood in R2. Like a second chocolate bar: I'll eat it, but I'll feel bad about it ;)

Week 1 - 12 August
QF A: Redfield (3) v Renegades (6)
QF B: Irish (4) v Raptors (5)

Week 2 - 19 August
SF A: Merrylands (1) v Irish (W QF B)
SF B: Rockdale (2) v Renegades ;) (W QF A)

Week 3 - Sat 26 Aug Grand Finals
GF: Merrylands (W SF A) v Renegades ;) (W SF B)

TBH I'm less sure about this one - Merrylands have been the team to beat all year, then Irish went and did it. So Redfield and Rockdale will have taken notice of that.
