Not a very open match or exactly pretty to watch but he Reds get the biccies after they strangled the Stormers, despite a misfiring lineout. Good to see Daley stay up at scrum time - the Reds scrum looked in control most of the match.
Bit disappointed in Diggers - he didn't pin his ears back a few times I thought he should've.
I liked how the Reds attacked the breakdown - as he commentators said, the Reds bullied the Stormers.
Well, that's 11 goats for the game - 10 bonus goats for the two wins.
Now is it time to quote the trolls predicting the 40 point Reds loss?
Although he Stormers were off their game, the Reds didn't let them play. Importantly this is the Reds first win over a team who is a real contender. Up til now they'd only beaten teams mainly in the bottom half of the table.
QWERTY has already admitted he was wrong, no need to rub it in....
Reds scrum went very well against the Stormers.. Lineout was shaky which was always going to be the case against Bekkers, but i didnt think it would be 5 lost against the throw.
Very impressed with Hanson, lineout struggled at times which is partially his fault, but like mentioned above, Bekkers is the inform lineout jumper in the competition at the moment. I was also impressed with his tight work, he seems to go well in the pick and drive department which complements the playing style of Daley and Slipper nicely.
The center combination of Harris and Fainga'a whilst 'offensively' was quiet, it was very good in defence, they employed a very fast rush defence which they haven't used this season, quite literally pulled a Stormers against the Stormers.
Morahan at fullback, boy doesnt this kid have talent, big, fast and strong.. I think he did more then enough to earn another start at fullback, but in the long run i think he might be a outside centre, he is very Mortlock-esque(2003 version) in how he can beat opponents with speed and the fend.
Finally, Samo was the right call, his defence and big hits were fantastic, he might be getting old, but sheesh he knows how to knock a runner over.
