^ all but guaranteed three = extra time golden point. Possible five or seven = win if it happens, loss if it doesn't. I know which option I'd be calling.

Each time the Chiefs had their points stripped from the register there were gales of uncontrollable laughter here at Dismal Manor.

My squadron of screenshotters on 24/7 standby earn their keep here and capture the glorious moment:

Riekos arrogance fueled speed is a sight to behold. Fuck he's fast.

Sam Cane doesnt seem the player he was before that neck injury IMO.

A few somewhat baffling decisions from the reffing team but that seems par for the course these days.

I was yelling take a lineout, don't play extra time if you can avoid it, especially when you got another game on Tuesday.

;) But don't worry my wife thought a kick was answer too.

You are kidding me? Sam Cane is best 7 around without doubt, he is playing bloody well.

Sorry I meaning best in NZ, not in world or anything, he is playing bloody well. I watched him last week at park and you see even more how good he is, how quick off the ground after tackle etc etc, bloody great tackler too. Though I have to say I pretty keen on Papali'i also.
Don't worry I not saying he better than Aus 7s or anything, as I haven't seen enough of them this year to rate them.

Still a big call with the way Ardie is playing.

It's pretty clear that Jordie Barrett is a cut above most players at this level. I enjoyed how physical he was - especially in that clearout of Ennor which might have been reviewed at Test level. The only issue is that it is that 12 is likely to be much harder at Test level. Most international 12s these days - Danty, Aki, Kerevi, De Allende - are pretty beast. The 12 has to be able to make ground in heavy traffic.
Ardie Savea is just so sick, as he always is. James O'Reily out in a decent shift, but I was very disappointed with Blackwell, especially in contact. DPK is a really untidy player, while mediocre seems to be JGB's ceiling at 10. The Canes will benefit from having some continuity in the backline, if injuries allow.

I don't see how George Bridge is better than Leicester Fainga'anuku, who was all impact when he came on. Christie, Grace, and Blackadder were pretty good, but they do not, especially Grace and Blackadder (at 6 and 8), seem ready for the next level. Newell and Taimati Williams need to be a lot more assertive. I remain occasssionally tempted to support the ScoBar at 6 experiment. He is certainly mobile enough, and I still remember that awesome defensive display he had at 6 against France a few years back.

2) Chiefs Blues
What a frustrating game for the Chiefs. 3 Yellow-Cards, 3 disallowed tries, and so many mistakes. Even the coach lost it in the box. Bryn Gatland is quite the epitome of the Chiefs - he was excellent in bits and tragic in others. Even Weber started dropping off.
I hope Luke Jacobsen works his way back into a starting line-up. I still hope to see more of Pita Gus - it would be great if him and Hoskins can be combined into 1 player. Hoskins has some natural gifts. He is an excellent line-out jumper, and he has very good lateral speed and acceleration. But he is small for an 8, and doesn't cut it in heavy traffic.

I was very unimpressed by the 2 AB tightheads - Angus and Ofa were both poor. Ofa looks so disinterested in the game. I dunno if he has been reading too many new-age motivational books about meditating and gratitude, because half the time he looked like he was meditating on the field instead of tackling.

The Blues always had the flash but they have added some stability. Robinson, Goodhue, and Tucker are all grafters, while Heem is a cool and experienced head.

Wouldn't argue too much with anything there Jeffery, I thought JGB had one of his best games for a whaile, but as you say he an average 10, which to be honest I suppose isn't bad, not everyone is a star. I know he only 2nd game there after a couple of years, but I thought JB was looking pretty ok at 12. I still bloosy surprised Canes came that close as I really feared how they would go especially with couple of late changes (and being a Canes man we get used to disappointments). Oh and I still agree with going to lineout at end!
I agree with what you say on Blues, the thing every team needs are the workers like Goodhue etc etc, not a lot of teams win just with stars doing it all. Have to say I go along with Derpus, it's bloody good to see Reiko put on the afterburners, and I liking him at 13 more all the time.
All in all a couple of bloody good games , I almost gave myself a kick for not taking the 3.5 hr drive down to Wellington again!

Look, the Horsemen of the Auckpocalypse will happily trebuchet you into the Sun & if you so wish plan the trajectory such that you ricochet off Venus & Mercury. There's just no need to incentivise them by saying "I remain occasssionally tempted to support the ScoBar at 6 experiment.
