Not liking the idea of Lurch having broken his thumb. Tricky little buggers those broken thumbs.
They're horrible things. Sprained mine really badly a couple of years ago, it was months before I could even pick anything up without wincing. Bugger actually breaking the thing. Lurch will be rooted for 6 months. Although he'll probably get better medical treatment than "uhh, just do nothing and carry on at home like normal".

Good games yesterday.

Clarke and Sotutu were terrific for the Blues. Highlanders looked sharp second half despite being undermanned

Crusaders too good. Chiefs really missed Narawa. He was brilliant in the win in Christchurch. Trask tries hard but is a huge step down from Narawa.

Retallick looks done - nowhere near the player he used to be.

Seems no golf for me next week, I see a drive to Wellington on cards.

Also not liking Beaugan taking another head-knock so soon after recovering from the last one: that seemed to take a very long time & you'd think this one could take longer again :(

Bleus should have way too much but always the danger that the Bleus gonna Bleu.

Hope there's some atmosphere at the ground. Otherwise this fixture could lapse into ragtag intersquad midweek scrimmage territory.

FFS Visinia making his MP (Moana Pasifika) debut. Who else is going to come out of the woodwork, Frank Halai off the bench?

Interesting to read about the young fella on the banch for Blues tonight. Been training with the Black Caps last few weeks, so a bit of a sportsman huh?

Actually not a bad line up for MP (Moana Pasifika) backline tonight, pack may struggle a bit though.

Yeah, it's broken:

Will be interesting to see if they leave Vaa'i at six & give Lord more game time or shift Vaa'i to lock, bring Jacobson in at six & leave Lord as a bench player.

T-minus 6 hours for ignition sequence start on Phase 1 of Blues B-Team Boomfa Town Moana Facebash.

B-team, stable.

Boosters, stable.

Weather's looking real nice up here Houston, all systems are a go.

Houston:
"Checking command modules".
Some new B-team guy:
"What is that weird rumbling noise?"
Perofuture:
"That's the Bonus Point silos opening in anticipation of extensive bonus point accruage".

Some new B-team guy: "What does that even mean? I'm confused. I think I want to go home now".
Coach Leon:
"Guidance is internal"
Graham Henry: "Operation Suck On This One TJ is a red hot go"

Having a superior scrum shouldn't be a licence to milk penalties. Scrum was a long way out, ball was playable so just get on with it.

Hodgman total scrum destruction.

Blues dominant but, as usual, neglect to bother troubling that scoreboard thingy.

TJ starting to dare to dream.
