Doesn't seem to be a thread for it but Ireland vs England was quite some game.

A game that leaves me really quite nervous about NZ rugby. We're an excellent team, but the pace and power of the North seem to be a level beyond us. Most of all, there is an intensity to the North and to SA - big personalities with such desire and passion to influence and impose themselves on the game.
In contrast, the ABs are comparatively placid, calm, understated. Not that one is better than the other - but it's about a balance
Every team benefits from having some orc-like beast or nuisance-maker - an Eztebeth or Kolisi or Matera or Willemse or Itoje or Genge or Sinckler or Furlong or Porter, who just messes up the opponents and rattles them.

I loved the old days when the Crusaders would just not yield on defence, and when the Chiefs had nigglers like Taumalolo and Schwalger. NZ rugby needs some personalities again, and surely with 5 x 40+ men squads, we can find a big bruiser who hurts people and bends the line - none of that soft hands shit, just runs straight and through people.

I loved that game, Chiefs just wouldn't stop throwing themselves at what seemed a brickwall defence of Crusaders, until it gave them a chance. There was some pretty good stuff in that game. Have to say the young fellas from Chiefs stood uo didn't they?

Can just imagine Fozzie watching the highlights and saying "crikey, that was fairly ferocious, hope Wayne Smith has got a plan for how we're supposed to beat that lot....."

Chiefs deserving winners. Their attack troubled the Crusaders all game. The Crusaders midfield was targeted with great effect - catching out Ennor a number of times.

According to ESPN Crusaders had to make 215 tackles and Chiefs had to make 96.

It's all well and good for Tom Christie to rack up tackles every week but tackling numbers aren't the be all and end all - you want to be making dominant tackles and you want to be forcing turnovers. Look at the ABs vs Ireland - eventually a well disciplined attack will make you pay.

Same thing happens with Blackadder. Makes a bunch of tackles and hits a bunch of breakdowns but often isn't very effective at either. It's all very different to Dusatoir making 50 tackles per test and absolutely murdering the carrier in 80% of them.

Found these schematics on the internet pretty much confirming what we knew all along; that the Cantabs have a Wuhan Rona lab underneath Lancaster Park.

That's why Lancaster Park was "demolished".

To throw investigators off the scent.

More COVID concerns in NZ??

Is Moana Pasifika ever going to play again?

NZ Rugby falling apart at the seams, lucky they've got a strong neighbour in Australia to help prop up this ridiculous Super Rugby Pacific comp.

Franchise CEO's have written to the Ministry of Health & the Deputy PM (who's also Minister of Sport) begging to be allowed to bring back paying fans to at least the 10% of capacity Level being permitted for women's CWC. D-G of Health sounded supportive at yesterday's presser & ultimately it's probable that Gov will rubber-stamp his call.
