Watched the game last night. That second half, that was old fashioned one sided. The Boks smelt blood and were ferocious while Argentina were completely rudderless. They REALLY missed Lobbe last night, I don't think he would have let that happen. Missed tackles, ZERO impetus at the rucks, completely dominated at maul time, looked leaderless.
It seems a shame that these new scrums (farcical last night, might get better) are potentially taking away the best facets of both Argentina's and Italy's game.
As for South Africa, bloody good in the second half. They were like a fat kid on cake, all over it. While the Argies effectively turned into turnstiles, the Boks were pretty exciting. JJ Engelbrecht, Jan Serfontein, Willie Le Roux, (Lambie). The future looked pretty good last night. So did the past Fourie du Preez (had it easy) still looks the goods. Bugger. Strauss at hooker was quality and the rest of the forwards were intense.
Time will tell but SA has the potential of a very good side there. Easy to say after such a game but it's true. We'll find out later in the tourney I guess.
