no.

It's not the first time Latu has been named in a Wallabies squad, after a broken arm ruined his chances in 2014. His inclusion this time comes after fellow hooker Tatafu Polota-Nau wasn't considered for selection.

...

“It is disappointing for Tatafu, who has been one of the most consistent and valued members of our finishers off the bench, he needs time to get his body right and we respect that," Cheika said.

Dont know what Latu has done this season that sets him ahead of Ready. I thought he had an average season this year. Maybe basing it on last years form or looking for a more like-for-like replacement for Taf?

It has to be based on current NRC form. After Latu got injured early in the season he didn't get selected for the Waratahs again.

Not that Ready is playing badly but Latu has been in outstanding form in the NRC.

It is an interesting selection because they're almost the same age and similar heights. Latu a bit bulkier but Ready probably better at set piece.

In any case, Latu has more provincial caps at the moment and Ready had to work hard in a team that failed to get going.

Plus he's a Waratah ;)

Now that Pocock is out most would probably install McMahon. We all know his attributes but he is still not a big bopper.

The decision (thankfully) has been taken out of Cheika's hands in the continued retention of the Pooper.

We have a big bloke - Timani. I reckon he should get the starting 8 spot for the next couple of games, leaving Sean riding the pine and being cover. If Timani can handle it and well then problem solved.
