It really was terrible! I had to turn it off and I'm not South African. I wouldn't put it past the Frogs to do it on purpose. The Kiwis did it to us a few years ago the Fellow forgot the words to Advance Australia Fair. Maybe every team should bring their own singer. Got to agree with how long the anthem is SA's and NZ's

I don't think when SA and NZ decided on their Anthem's they gave a toss about rugby...

The Haka is really what wastes a lot of time... :fishing

The Puppet and Matfield reckon it was the singinf of the RSA national anthems which did them in. :)

BTW, why is RSA allowed to have three (and NZ two) anthems sung before a game whan the rest of us have to make do with one?
Rugby nations, so we're better than you. O0

Ja that anthem singer rocked me right in the boots and I am still feeling the pain. No wonder Schalk gave them a real stare because our kiddies are teachiung from 7 year old they start their school week with a flag raising ceremony and the anthem singing they all stand on attention. Shocking. If you want to see it done properly tune in teusdays game against Saracens. They fly in Bok van Blerk specially to do it.

Skorsie havent France beat you at home this year with a series win Boet? Agree with Blue that you lot will beat them tho.

Teusday against Saracens its going to be vital for the dirt tracker players and their change to get a test cap against Italy

Team:
South Africa - 15 Earl Rose, 14 Odwa Ndungane, 13 Juan de Jongh, 12 Wynand Olivier, 11 Jongi Nokwe, 10 Ruan Pienaar, 9 Heini Adams, 8 Ashley Johnson, 7 Jean Deysel, 6 Dewald Potgieter (captain), 5 Andries Bekker, 4 Danie Rossouw, 3 CJ van der Linde, 2 Adriaan Strauss, 1 Wian du Preez.
Replacements: 16 Bandise Maku, 17 Heinke van der Merwe, 18 Alistair Hargreaves, 19 Davon Raubenheimer, 20 Francois Hougaard, 21 Meyer Bosman, 22 Riaan Viljoen.

The names in bold I think are one performance away from a test call. Think it will be good if they sat out some tired bodies but win will be important.

No not a series win PB, they beat the AB's once, then they got beaten in return. Don't know what that has to do with any of my questions boet, but there you go!

Didnt the Hane won some Cup in that series? Working on some points differense or something?

Just trying to state that its not that bad losing to the Hane. Think they are pretty difficult to beat at home , and you lot have lost against them at home. So credit where its due, on a day they can beat anyone on any place. The lost against Leicester isnt that bad. Calling them just a club maybe not a rugby club in the SA sense of a rugby club. The same may happen against Saracens on teusday, our team are only a young bunch of players compare to Saracens packed with old hand Saffers who either played on test level or close to test level. The perfect oppertunity to see what our young lot are made of and the home crowds do give something to this match you'll only find in SA in the SH. So they may lost again and it wont be a train smash at all. Now losing against Italy will be a train smash of big proportions.

One National Anthem in three languages. SA has eleven languages so I guess they could have a go in all 11 if you really wanted.

I read the article where they complained about the doped out little man bleating the anthem and although they complained about it they hardly used it as an excuse. It was fucking shocking though.

*cough* isiXhosa, seSotho, Kitchen Dutch and Soutiespeak = four *cough*

;)

The "make an utter balls of the opposition anthem" tradition is, as any observer of NH rugby knows, one of the classic attractions of playing in France.

Habana will be gone.

The Irish will be celebrating.

Armbands will read "What's a little kick between friends?"

When I saw that team, I was thinking: "hold on, are you sure that's not the Saffa dirt trackers and not Sarries?". Some handy players, there. Neil de Kock must be getting on surely?

de Kock was still young when he leave and it will be a bit of Pom SA experienced dirt trackers vs SA newbie dirt trackers.

Snor leaving the door open with the reselections of CJ van der Linde and bet Brendon Venter will tell the SA boys in Sarries, boys thats your change to make a statement. Think they will beat our lot to make this tour a 3-0.

saracens does in the boks as well in a battle of saffa vs. saffa :lmao:

Pens: Hougaard 3
Drops: Hougaard

Tries: de Jongh, Nokwe 2

Oh man.

South Africa A beat South Africa B, or is it the other way around?

I can't wait for the excuses.

It's a disgrace though. Just shows what I have maintained all along. Take the core of senior players out of the Bok equation and our rugby becomes very average again.

Depth, or lack thereof is a serious issue in SA rugby. That much is plain to see.

Yep, one of the reasons a 6th S14 side would have been madness

Blue - there was more class in the Currie Cup than some of the rugby being put out by the Bok dirt trackers, though.

That Sarries side was handy, and you'd expect it to give a fright to the dirt trackers from the Tri-Nations, but not to win.

And Blue, isn't that the third game you've correctly picked SA to lose on this tour?
