I think you're on your own ther Cyclo, most people on twitter seem to agree with it. He lead with the shoulder and even made contact with the head. Didn't see an attempt to wrap there.
He used arms. Laws don't say you can't use shoulders AND arms? I reckon it's wrong. Anyway, it's in the book, so Walshy must be right.

Glad I don't support Wales full-time. It'd be like supporting us in the Bledisloe all the time

thought Wales was the better team overall, really hate the maul and the way attackers can just split and twist around defenders and make them look like they're in from the side.
The Owens' try was a clear knock-on. Got no issues with penalising the tackle at the end, Hendricks wouldn't have scored, the trailing foot was about to go into touch even before Williams came flying in. So no PT for mine

Boks pretty fortunate to win that, but I thought the penalty try right at the end was justified. From the angles I saw it didn't look like the Welsh defender made any attempt to use his arms in the tackle and got him head high as well. Shit way to lose a game though.

The sort of match that will probably have a lot written about it. Don't like Steve's chances of reffing a world cup semi or final.

I can't help feeling a bit vindicated at the South African disdain for our 6-0 win against a spirited French fightback. Ok, the Welsh spirited fightback may have been a better match for neutrals, but at least we didn't look like losing ours.

The 6-0 game was an utter borefest. With that said, all the talk of winning ugly being boring/shit comes from you Ozzies.

I am actually really glad that we got put under the pump. The Boks must have been reading all the press after last week's hiding. Okes went hunting, weddings etc this week, obviously felt that they just had to pitch up today..

Thought Walsh had a decent game. Almost feel gutted for the Welsh, I say almost because that knock on try should never have been awarded.

One thing a Bok team cannot do is come from behind. I dont think I have ever seen a Bok team come from a 7+ deficit to win a game in which they had been outplayed the whole game for. Dare I say that today's victory was reminiscent of the way the AB's seem to be able to snatch it at the death so often. Which is why I am happy about the way this game unfolded.

Boks still chasing the AB's without a doubt, Wallabies will be a tougher prospect now that you have had a year under Link, (as well as having allowed the B&I psychological wound time to heal)

Out of jail we got. Them are the rules.

Helped by Welsh incompetence.

Shit we were dire in the first 40 and not much better after oranges.

I look forward to next week when we will hopefully see Pollard start.

Doubt we will see Pollard start. Don't think it will be good for his career if he gets too much attention now, perhaps a game off the bench once or twice this year will be fine. Look at what the spotlight has done to F. Steyn over the years, absolutely killed the poor man.

Wales easily the better side this week - heck of a turn around. But unlike others on here I agreed with both penalty tries. There was no way in hell the welsh were stopping that maul without falling over to trip the boks, so it had to be awarded. Likewise at the end, very poor judgement by Williams leading with the shoulder and elbows to end up almost knocking out Hendricks with the point of his elbow - just stupid and dangerous play. If he'd had his arms open in a proper tackle attempt he may have been able to drag his foot into touch, and even if he didn't it would have made for a tough conversion to win.
