Amanda Lulham continues to be the lone journalist we have come across who consistently writes about schools and colts rugby in NSW.

She also notes that missing u20 rep players did not hinder some clubs but was definitely seen as a factor for the surprise loss by Easts. To be fair, Southern Districts played well from the get go and should be given the utmost respect going forward. This all sets a fantastic stage for a great round 2.

On reflection: that is a real concern for WSTB. Only having just 2 teams on the park in Round 1 at home does not bode well.
