Hmm. I've always quite liked Uni and think they jealously towards them is a little infected. However, from a factual perspective your analysis is just plain wrong. The main periods of Uni's success, say1963-1973, and 2005-2017 coincided with periods of real wallaby weakness, with some very poor results in this period.
During the second period, Uni created a cavalcade of good mid level super players (eg Tom Carter, Daniel Halagauhu, Jeremy Tilse) but very few if any superstars. They only needed to create the former to win the comp, but perhaps with the resources at their disposal their charter should have been wider than this??

When Sydney Uni rugby club are strong the game in Australia is strong rings true, given the club's rich history of producing top-tier players who have gone on to excel at the national and international levels. Sydney Uni has been a breeding ground for talent, with many of its players representing Australia in various age-grade teams and earning Wallaby caps. The club's commitment to developing young players and fostering a culture of excellence has contributed significantly to the Australian rugby landscape. When Sydney Uni is strong, it's often a harbinger of success for Australian rugby as a whole, as the club's players and coaches feed into the broader talent pool, influencing the game at all levels. The club's strong performances and player development pipeline have a ripple effect, benefiting the wider Australian rugby community and contributing to the country's reputation as a rugby powerhouse.

Exactly why I was concerned by how ragged they were on Saturday.

How do we feel about 100 points being put on Two Blues in Colts?
Is it time to finally rethink the whole Rugby in the West approach?
