Ah Tummy Carter,
What happens on the field stays on the field - above board fair sledging is part of the game, and maybe a way to get on top of your opposition.
After the game, it's good times and I've only heard good things about him.
Yep there appears to be 2 Tom Carters, off field Tom best bloke in the world.
Onfield Tom.....backpfeifengesicht!

Emotional win against Buildcorp/The Students/ The Corporation. Some people suggested that we didn't have the cattle this year, and that we had blokes who weren't prepared to do the hard yards. I think it's fair to say that we're back, and ready to give this competition a shake.
In relation to Tom Carter, he is a character and we should appreciate him while he is still running around. He gives as good as he gets. He has been a loyal servant to NSW rugby for many years, and deserves our respect. I get sick of people logging on here and taking pot shots at him, time to move on, he is a stalwart and a legend of our game in this state.

My biggest issue with him is that most of the niggle he brings is totally unnecessary. I understand that he plays with passion for his club but he needs to channel that more constructively. He still has a bit to offer at grade level even if he's getting on a bit. By playing the arsehole he's not really helping his teams cause and I think he misunderstands what passion for the game is a bit. He could show that in a number of different ways instead of bringing the chippy shit in to his playl

As for the game itself. I was really impressed with the pack. Apart from the odd scrum they had the wood on the students in most aspects of play. It was great to see.

Just noticed that Adam Freier at 36 years old and only playing about 20 minutes per game for the last couple of years, mainly in 3rd and 4th grade, still attracts 10 player points. Doesn't matter much as Wicks are well under the allowance, but seems a bit harsh.

He comes across as an A grade twat. Goes out of his way to taunt the opposition.

Deserves a good smack across the chops, and in the good old, bad old, days before all these cameras and assistant referees and so on, he would not have been brave enough to get caught in a ruck. Either that, or he would have behaved like a man, not a brat.

Personally, I do not buy this "great servant of the game" bullshit. He has had a professional career which was mediocre, and is coming to the end of his playing days, he should have grown up by now. I doubt that I am alone in remembering him as a twat who fought below his weight.

I was happy to applaud him for continuing to play for Uni after finishing his Super rugby career, rare thes days for players to do this, but not at the expense of other players who are playing better than he is. On Saturday (and I watched the game live as well as the TV replay) his main contribution seemed to be niggle and pestering the referee. He missed tackles and contributed little in attack.

Well done to the West HArbour first grade prop. No 3. (Not sure of his name).for shaking to Parra ball bays hands at full time.

By the smile on their faces ,I'm pretty sure you made their day.

That was Faiva Sailosi who is an absolute gentleman

He was making his First Grade debut on Saturday and went really well.

He's still learning the craft of front row play, but at 135 kg is a seriously big unit and prodigiously strong. Three weeks ago he did a box squat of 290kg.

Some yes, and others that are doing well.

First one would be Hingano.

Doing quite nicely at La Rochelle on an upgraded deal. Now wants to qualify for France as a resident. Couldn't get a super contract in Australia though - anywhere even the Force. Makes you wonder doesn't it.:)

Good to hear. There's a few Aussies there at La Rochelle. Zac Holmes being one of them. But the one I'd like to know how he's going is Alex Northam. Any word there?

How that bloke never got a look in at Super Rugby here is beyond me. Shows exactly what is wrong with Rugby in this country.

Yeah unfortunately they haven't been on fox yet.

Zip had a few games around world cup time but I haven's noticed his name on the team list for a while now.

Yeah knee.
Some concussion.
For those that have seen him play would agree he is a huge loss.

Northam was never a chance of being picked up here.
We pick our wingers by the pound, McKenzie who is carving up for the Chiefs would never get a look in over here.

That is a big problem with rugby at the moment . . . as long as they are built like props they can play on the wing.

Soon enough they will see that the quick and nimble guys can always put on weight, but the "already big" can't really get quick and nimble. I'm sure there are many players in the rugby world who are under 95 kilos and still doing great work.

There's also the issue that some players perform better at a lighter weight whether that be due to increased mobility or injury reduction- Rob Horne is an example of this.
