On another note, you'd have to wonder why Manly v Southern is not the TV game this week. I see 7TWO are running the network's coverage of Anzac Day on Saturday (why couldn't it have been on 7Mate?) so the SS is on Sunday again, but were you guys asked to move the game to Sunday?

Not sure on that.
@MACCA & Coach - this weather is reminding me of your Ladies Day about 2 years ago where we scored tries sliding from 20 meters out. That was one horrid day - hope the sun comes out and sucks up plenty of this water before the weekend.

7Two wanted to cover a game on Sunday and it was thrown open to all clubs to see if anyone would switch. West Harbour volunteered but there was an issue with a double booking of Concord that couldn't be resolved so that fell through. Consequently there is no Shute Shield coverage this weekend.

Only 4/6 last week. Hobbits and Beasties let me down. Margins all over the show like a mad dog's faeces.

Round 6 Tips
Home teams looking good.

Gordon v Warringah. Rats finding form & will be too good. Rats by 15.

Manly v Southern Districts. Hobbits won't be happy being rolled by The Corporation last week but MMM will repeat the dose and take the chocolates by 10-15.

Northern Suburbs v Sydney University. Toughest to call. When I tip The Corporation, they lose; When I don't tip them they win. Tossing the coin and it comes up headents. Students to win with a skinny margin.

Penrith v Eastwood. Woodies by a large margin. Ben Batger to crack the ton for his individual tally for the year.

Randwick v Eastern Suburbs. After rolling The Corporation in Bowral, the Beasties have not had the killer instinct although they showed plenty of ticker against MMM. There will be a lot of feeling in this traditional Anzac match, but The Gallopers seem to have the ability to bring the best out of their kids, albeit a lot of their games so far have not been against the heavyweights. Wicks by 5-10.

West Harbour v Parramatta. Both have had a rough start to the season, up against many of the heavyweights so far. This should be a close one, but Pirates should steal the chocolates by <7.

I like to watch

David Codey (61)
I'm tipping Gordon in an upset, the Rats are yet to find last years form.
Souths,as per above.
Norths,ditto.
Woodies, but the Riff are due for a shock result.
Wicks,with absolutely no confidence.
Wests, only because they are at home.

Pretty sure Easts won third grade 27 - 7 showing a very organised attack and defence. Easts 5 was very good and their winger had blistering speed.

first grade had easts struggling with the wicks speed and high tempo game.

A few scores on Rugbylink are apparently incorrect. Perhaps their hard drive or their circuitry suffered from the hail yesterday?

Score adjusted above as per Beasties twitter post.
