HJ is this based on number of first grade games only?
Would it be possibly to mention # of games?

lol they top player rotation because they have that many blokes on their books with game time written into their contracts.... What choice do they have!

They have even picked up a few lower graders from manly as well as a player who had played first grade and made quite an impression too. Seems odd to switch allegiances so late in the season particularly as they will know they will face their old teammates come finals time

It's quite unbelievable what the Students have achieved these past 3-4 seasons with the young depth they have at the club. They just continue to deliver and churn out individuals who perform and get results. The last couple weeks and especially this week individuals who are virtually no names continue to find ways of contributing to the bigger picture of the team and club.

Indeed - quite frankly not sure why the players concerned have bothered . Tough to get picked in any grade higher than they were in at Manly and a long way to training . Uni are still the benchmark no doubt

Can someone explain the confusing finals draw to me?

http://www.nswrugby.com.au/NSWRugby/ShuteShield/DrawsResultsLadders/ShuteShieldDrawsResults.aspx

Don't the winners generally get a week off?

Game A: 1v6 (presume Marlins v Parra)
Game B: 3v4 (presume Woodies v Uni)
Game C: 2v5 (presume Rats V Wicks)

Confusing bit!
Game D: 1v1 assume this is either winner a v winner b
Game E 1v1 assume this is either loser a v winner c

GF Winer D v Winner E

HTF can you fit 6 teams into a four game semi's round?

Either way I hope the Marlins get there, as its sure looks a lot like 1997 to me!!

Also, based on these permutations we could "possibly" be looking at a Manly v Warringah final, what a game that would be & I'd love nothing more than spanking the Rats three times in one year!!

Hah my wife gives me shit, dig the name at least you admit it.

Manly V Rats at Brookie oval promoting the Rays - how good would that be to lift rugby on the peninsular.

Latu played for Sydney Uni at the State Championships in ages 16s and 17s, Betham joined Uni after his final year at Joeys and Skelton came to the club after his last season with Wests Magpies SG Ball U18s side.
Dennis was a Penrith junior before joining Sydney Uni but the others have come through the colts program.

In any case, those players would not be the players they are today without Uni.

They received better coaching and S&C than they would anywhere else. Oh and exposure of course.

If that's Sekope Kepu in the picture above you're really drawing a long bow. He may have been BORN in western Sydney but his family moved to NZ when he was still a kid. He played rugby from under 7s to under 21s in NZ before moving back to Oz.
