Next bumper weekend is 3rd test 21/6
Marlins vs Two Blues on Sunday.
Its a nice thought to put two games on at 1pm on Saturday but those of us going to the test still wont be able to make a game before 3pm kick-off at Allianz.

Over the weekend, on the sidelines, I was asked who has the worst D in Shute Shield. The result was a little surprising.

The Ducks Bum Award for the least number of tries scored by their Opposition:
Randwick, 22 Tries
Manly, 26 Tries
Sydney University, 27 Tries
Warringah, 31 Tries
Eastwood, 34 Tries
Eastern Suburbs, 36 Tries
Northern Suburbs, 37 Tries
Parramatta, 40 Tries
Southern Districts, 40 Tries
West Harbour, 46 Tries
Gordon, 48 Tries
Penrith, 67 Tries

Thought fridays game was a cracker, Asa from the bench made a massive contribution. Pity the kick didnt make it at the end, but still a very enjoyable night. Even if the ref had a fairly odd evening.

Two blues were impressive on Saturday, some great forward play. West Harbour suffered when O'Sullivan had to come off but Two Blues would have been to strong either way.
What did you think of the Doof Doof Power Drink Van pumping out the vibes?

I know it certainly pissed a lot of people off

That might have something to do with John Muggleton being their Defense Coach this season

Problem for the Wicks is that the Tries Scored tally (29 - 9th Highest) isn't all that much higher than the Tries Against (22 - Lowest).

Good point BW -- I'd cleaned it out of my memory bank.

It was soooooo bloody annoying.
It was hard to speak to the person next to you let alone hear any of the chatter from the field and we couldn't even hear the ground announcer. What's more it didn't seem like anyone was interested in the "music". Come to think of it, there was a sizeable proportion of the crowd in the stand who didn't seem that interested in the rugby either. I assume many of them were colts 2 and 3 players and their friends who'd come for the colts 1 game and then switched off when it finished. There was a constant stream of people leaving throughout the game.

It was hilarious sitting in the stand watching one of the 1sts dads admonishing the bloke!

Teams are up on Rugby News, a few non-test Tahs players have not been named by their respective teams.

Not many!
Hugh Roach, Greg Peterson, Taqele Naiyaravoro, Jed Holloway, Tala Gray, Cam Crawford are all I noticed and they've all been playing regularly for their club sides anyway. Josh Holmes is also back from the Rebels.
Seems like the rest of them will either be coming off the bench or have been sentenced to "active rest".

You would have to hope for a few names to drop in before Saturday.
Hopefully Douglas and Volavola get the nod, Tilse and Dennis need a rest though;)

Anyone would think you were a Souths supporter!
I think Carraro and Hoiles could do with a few full games over the next 3 weeks.

Ah yes, no doubt Uni have brought their calculators out to assess number of games required for GF.
Knock em off and maybe it will be more of a challenge to get there.

33.2 A player shall not be eligible to play in a Finals Series fixture unless:
(a) The player has played with the Club a minimum of four rounds during the Minor Premiership series; or
(b) The player has been on representative duties during the current season and has played a minimum of two minor premiership matches in the current season at the same Club in which he is seeking eligibility, or has been a registered player with the club (according to MRA) without break for the previous two years.
(c) Players playing at an Australian Super Rugby Franchise that dictates the player must play in the local competition may lodge an eligibility appeal.

33.3 A player shall not be eligible to play in a Finals Series fixture in any grade lower than the grade in which he has played the majority of his last seven matches in the minor premiership.

This is a good thing....
