as a supporter of club rugby who couldn't get out to watch his team today, why can't i get scores anywhere?? it's midnight on a saturday and this forum hasn't got scores, more importantly the nsw website doesn't either. it's a joke, much like the fact we might have to sit through 2012 with d.mumm as skipper. piss off uni.

your username is alot like mine, i was thinking, "when did i post that" hahah

Call me bias but does anyone else think what Eastwood are doing at the moment is amazing? They have no money, a part time coach and only one Super contracted player currently (Nic White I think) yet they lead the competition by 17 points? I know everything will change second round but still think it's a good effort.
Eastwood Vs Uni next week should be a cracker hopefully its the ABC game

Eastwood are extraordinary. When all the rockstars come back, they will still take some beating. Hope they take out the premiership, coz its clear they are the best team in the comp.......same as last year til Berrick Barnes was allowed to play 3 club games!!!

Looking at the top 6

1. Eastwood
2. Easts
3. Manly
4. Sydney University
5. Randwick
6. Norths

Might be a bit too early to say this but I can't see any of the top 5 falling out of it or even falling back to 6. Too solid and consistent. So basically a fight for 6th spot in the finals between Norths, Souths, West Harbour and Gordon.
I could be proven wrong if Norths manage to win more of the close ones but I don't think so.

HOw many guys are Gordon getting back with the SuperXV etc finishing up?? I heard no-one! That will make it tough to finish in the top 6.....

The Waratahs insisted he only play 40 minutes, fp, but he went very well considering how little rugby he has played recently. He still has the ability to shunt a ruck single handed.

Any idea why the Waratahs would insist on that given that there was no way he would play for them again this season?

I suspect, Jnor, that it comes under one of two categories: "asserting ownership" or "throwing your weight around". Apparently Robbie Deans was at the game and queried why the big fella had been hooked at half time. I presume he would have wanted Vicks to get serious game time under his belt as soon as possible.

Thanks Bruce. I would have presumed all and sundry would want Vickerman to get as much game time as possible, but I suppose adding some semblance of logic to the situation might have been my undoing.

With Ben Whittaker having moved to Norths, yeah, nobody. Stirling Mortlock hasn't played for Gordon since 2003 so that probably won't happen either.

Seeing that Ben Whittaker played last week likewise with Vickerman does that mean the Force or any other S15 franchises have released players to play this coming week ?

Should be interesting to see who turns up for Randwick, Sydney University, Southern Districts and Eastwood.

Henry VanDerGlas turned out for the Wicks, as did the Force's Phoenix Battye (one massive human). Apparently Adam Frier, Hoiles, Phibbs will all be in wicks teams in the next couple of weeks...

According to the Manly Daily Cipriani and Gerrard for the Rats. I wonder if Lipman and Pyle are also available?
Manly better SOS their rockstars or the Rats might do the unthinkable and win a game.

Cipriani sampling the nightlife of Manly after the game? I'd like to see that...

Had the Tahs made the semi-final but one of our three locks was injured, the Tahs would have had grounds to apply to bring him in. I would assume the 40 minutes was so he was not injured late in the game when his body might be tiring.
