Scotland v Wallabies at Murrayfield 12.40am Mon 25 Nov

Fellas, the ref didn’t lose us that, we did that all ourselves.

We had no possession and when we did, we’d chip kick it where there was space but Lolesio’s accuracy ain’t good enough and we’d just turn the ball over 10m down the field.

The irony is not lost on me that we’re desperately missing a 12 and Sione is right there.

Meh, honestly most 12s would look like that with a forward pack going forward and a 10 that actually knows how to take the ball to the line

Watching Finn Russell really highlights how limited Lolesio is. Ma'a Nonu would struggle to make an impact outside him

Ref certainly didn't lose us the game. He made it an eye sore to watch though. Complete stop-start affair

Well, turns out missing 4 key forwards and not training much during the week does in fact change the result of a game.
With all of these challenges, I was expecting a loss but then hoping for a ripping battle against Ireland to round out the tour. All hands back on deck and healthy. So the serious injury to JAS hurts big time. I wonder what we do there.

Well done to the Scots, they did their homework on our defensive system and carved us up.

25%ish missed tackles is unforgivable. That was RC level, rhe Irish will make us pay more than the Scots did today.

Definitely wasn't the ref that lost us that game, Tate with that cross field kick to Scotland pretty much sealed that deal.

But there were a few head scratchers from that ref.

As of right now yes we are - but I am sure most teams are envious that we have a war chest of centres who can jump between 12 and 13 including Paisami, Kerevi, JAS, Ikitau, Flook and other blokes on the fringes.

Fellas, the ref didn’t lose us that, we did that all ourselves.
The problems were obvious and nothing to do with the ref. The attacking breakdown support was slow and ineffective, the clean out poor and often late as well.
Our defence offered Finn-Russel a run every time, there rush defence closed us down most times. Who the fuck is in charge of our D he should be shot.
Allowing them uncontested lineouts in the 1st half and most of the second.
Our forwards were dominated in this with heroic exceptions by Valetini, Skelton often and Wilson.
Lolesio looked nervous from the start and played like it all game, useless behind a losing pack. McDermott's chip kick was just plain stupid.

The Ref was pedantic but accurate and yes the stop-start didn't help us but Scotland had the same issue with him and thrived on it.

This defeat could be positive in the long term. A Grand Slam could blind fans, players and even the staff. This defeat shows that we are going in the right direction but there is still a long way to go.

League Media will have a field day this week .. “wallabies nothing without JS”
I think all media will be more focussed on the cricket shit show. Also, last week's performance kind of nullifies that argument. Not having both JAS and Kerevi hurts though.

I'm not that unhappy with the loss. I thought we looked tired, unprepared and ill-disciplined which all tracks with the lead up we had into the match. I just don't think we currently have the squad depth to consistently put in 80%+ performances week after week.

We definitely got on the wrong side of the ref but I think that had a lot more to do us than the ref, who was pedantic but fairly consistent.

Tate McDermott should be shot into the fucking sun via giant Dismal cannon for that kick. We were still potentially in the battle at that point and that would have been a huge momentum shift. God damn.

Our problems were not emotional or tired, it was a functional disorder acerbated by shit D.
