PG Carter, 11-7. Scots starting to fall off tackles, this could get ugly if AB handling & retention gets back to where it should be. Winning the occasional lineout would also help. 11-10 coming up.

2nd or 3rd Lineout stolen, Scotland wins the Penalty, Russell chips it, Advantage over Laidlaw converts, trail 10-11 with 36 gone.

Maul disrupted, double knock on after the next pass, Scotland feed 10m out from the line.

Moody angles the drive, wins the penalty off Cross, Carter will take the 60 seconds and pop it over, taking us to half time.

Scotland trail Darkness 10-14 at the Half.

Les Kiss has reinforced the Irish defence; Matt Taylor has done the same at Scotland. The fact that the ABs haven't scored 20+ points and wrapped the game up by half time is significant.

How did Australian rugby let these guys slip through the cracks?

Scotland really letting this one slip. NZ have been poor in the first half but they're ahead. God help Scotland if the ABs click for 10-15 minutes.

This game is real chance for Scotland but they need to start the 2nd half well and get themselves a few scores ahead. They'll have to be wary of an early try from NZ in the 2nd half, they score so often in the first few minutes of the second 40. They're switched on right from the restart while other teams' heads are still in the changing room.

Carter playing so poorly for the ABs is really keeping Scotland in touch. But so often against NZ being in touch is just another way of saying one mistake away from being 2 scores behind and chasing the game.

Spirited defence by Scotland as the score remains 13-14 to NZ at 60 minutes, but can't help feeling the territorial pressure will eventually tell.

We've squandered any and all possession we've had.

Slade converts a penalty, 15 to go, the bad guys lead by 4.

Geoff Cross makes up for the scrum penalty by winning the turnover penalty off the kick off.

Laidlaw converts back to one point margin.

Crockett deliberately walks in front of Laidlaw, concedes the penalty.

Laidlaw misses from out wide. Scotland trail by a point, 10 to go.

This would have been a nightmare tour for any SH team attempting the grand slam based on the November results so far.

Stuart Hogg, going back to retrieve a Julian Savea kick in the Scotland 22:
"He's done really well under Savea [severe] pressure."

Why won't Scotland kick the ball away when appropriate? I get trying to run the ball, but jesus you don't run from every which way in 15's. If they were smarter they could be pinning the AB's in their half or better rather than playing most of the game in their own one.
